The newer arcs really seem to disregard Chopper's incredible combat skills. Like he gets stuck with the label of "weakling trio" despite being much more powerful than some of the mid-tier crew members.

Yeah, like, Robin isn’t in the “weakling trio,” but Chopper is easily stronger than she is despite the fact that he’s literally canonically a martial arts master now on top of everything he already had. I’m not talking bounties, but it just seems strange grouping him in with Nami and Usopp in terms of combat ability.

That trio is a fan title. Incredible combat skills is a huge exaggeration. Minus Ussops god tier luck, he’s leagues above them. But remember, you have Zoro, Sanji, Luffy, Jinbe, Brook, Franky. ( Brook often slept on. But he’s ridiculously strong. He was part of his countries royal guard ( blanking on exact details so feel free to correct me) he has feats that even shocked Jinbe and Pedro. ( Pedro being known as a top tier mink fighter )

And the term "weakling trio" has been specifically used in the anime, and in a few parts of the manga, Chopper, Nami, and Usopp have been grouped together as the weakest physically of the crew.

If the premise of this video is that the WG knows everything, I think they'd consider Chopper more of a threat for his unique invention the rumble ball. A ball that zoan users can eat to warp their transformations, or even forcibly awaken their full power is an insane threat in the hands of a pirate that directly opposes the WG. Imagine if Kaido had gotten his hands on that technology? His whole army could monster point, and no force in the world could possibly stop that.

@@lowkeyarki7091 Luffy went from 300 to 400 after beating Moria, punching a CD, infiltrating impel down, invading the war ate marineford, going back to marineford to ring the bell and also being revealed as the son of the most wanted man on the planet. I doubt Ace would get a single berry increase, 0 chance it gets to as high as 1 billion. It was already 550 there is no reason to increase it more. Luffy did a million things and he didn't even get to Ace's bounty and he defeated Doffy and still didn't reach Ace's bounty. I don't understand how you can argue Ace being increased to 1 billion solely for being Roger's son when Luffy did all this stuff and still didn't get to that point.

Luffy did a lot of things that the government didn't know or flat out cover up and thus his bounty didn't get increased when they should have been. The point of this True bounty series is accurately depicting the threat level based on their accomplishments and inherited threat level.

I find the increase at enies lobby pretty spot on. When monster point was revealed i seriously thought Chopper was the strongest straw hat until we saw gear third luffy. The way he just crushed his oponnent had me SHOOK and he definetely wouldve gave Lucci a run for his money as well. Great video as always! Cheers from Canada

At Enies Lobby I thought it was the beginning of chopper becoming an absolute menace but he hardly gets a real fight anymore, and without showing much combat improvement post time skip he seems like the weakest on the crew to me now

@@Eric-mt7kl Fair point, i wouldn't say monster point got nerfed, just that the competition got exponentially harder and it seems like we are at a point in the story where you need Haki if you want to be a serious fighter. That being said if you're not up to speed with the manga Chopper will get his time to show just how strong Monster point is and how its real weekness is the timer more than anything else.

@@BeardedGorlok yeah I caught up and you’re right haki does seem to be what’s holding the 5-10 in the crew back. It’ll be great when we finally start to see that. I saw the thing about the rumble ball. My issue with the monster point is that when it was unveiled, it was crazy destructive rampaging and had buildings collapsing. But now that chopper has it under control, it just seems like he just stands there like a giant teddy bear and throws his arms around while taking out a few grunts. Like I said he hasn’t gotten real fight yet, which would be great to see if maybe he could combine that point with some haki or something which would be a big boost for him. Even though he has become my least favorite straw hat, it’d be nice to see him get a chance to show what he can do. But he isn’t the only one, Brook still hasn’t gotten a single 1v1

Chopper is so slept on by the fanbase in terms of strength, man. And I think everybody fails to realize how much he has improved during the timeskip. He went from literally only using Monster Point as a last resort and being unable to control it and fainting after using it to having it active for up to 3 minutes, fully conscious during it and with less drawback than it had when he used it at Enies Lobby. And let's not forget that he's the only Zoan user who has access to more than 2 devil fruit-related forms. If the government knew about his work with the Rumble Balls and everything, he would quite possibly be wanted Alive Only for a high sum since the WG would want to use them to empower their own dudes. And this brings me to another improvement - he can use 7 forms without the use of a Rumble Ball now! And he's a certified martial artist! Compared to Nami and Usopp, who only have intelligence and tools to use in a fight, Chopper has both intelligence and a hefty sum of strength at his disposal.

I had a funny idea during the video. Since Chopper's bounty has always been a subversion of our expectations I had a funny thought that might actually come true. Since I imagine by the end of the series Luffy in some regard will overthrow the world government what if Chopper is the first known person to have their bounty pardoned and given a clean slate. Considering his dream to make a medicine to cure all ailments and he most certainly won't charge for it or at the least will charge very little. He could actually become a more legendary figure than anyone on the crew. I can see it in my head a final panel of the crew all looking majestic and their name plates showing their bounties that scroll off the screen but then it shows Chopper with a zero beli bounty. I think that would be so much funnier than just giving him 1000 or something.

Although I end up agreeing with the final value, I think you overvalued him in Enies Lobby and undervalued him in WCI. However, those two balance themselves out, thus ending up in a value I can agree upon, like I said in the beginning of this comment. (Don't forget that he's the most responsible for saving the minks' lives in Zou.) Also, I'm very entertained by the gag of his bounty being super low, not to say almost unexistant, but even if he's considered a pet, shouldn't his bounty be higher? I mean, Luffy was considered to be the "fifth yonko" after WCI and has a bounty of 1.5B, with both his right and left arm guys being valued in 650M, a person who can read poneglyphs on board, among other dangerous people (correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Morgans anounce that Jimbe would be joining as well?), and a very big and menacing Grand Fleet, almost certanily making the Straw Hats the most valuable pirate crew after the yonko. So, even their "pet" should be worth like 1M, at the very least, or something between 1 and 10M, due to the danger of capturing it alone, thus inciting the wrath of said powerful crew. More of an association bounty, like everybody getting a 50M boost after Dressrosa, regardless of their involvment. And thanks, Liam! Yet another great addition to this very cool series, and one of the most antecipated, I believe. Keep them coming!

I love pretime skip chopper better as he was trying to improve himself and be useful to the crew... then the time skip happened and Chopper’s most notable moments are...having Frank be in his body and he stalled Big Mom. He is officially the crew doctor and thats about it.

But the tradeoff is Chopper getting more Doctor feats such as in Punk Hazard, Zou, and Wano. Chopper probably has more high profile doctor feats than Sanji has chef feats.

If chopper is not a real treat to WG due to his being a doctor, but remember that chopper being a doctor means that he has the role to keep his crew members alive which means being alive mean they can go forth with their adventure no matter how difficult the journey is, as long as someone can keep their health in check then it will be a big treat to WG. Bcuz as we all know that once you get taken down means your journey will most likely to be delayed or at worst going to an end. Also, even as a doctor chopper still has an overwelming power.

The reason why Kidds bounty was higher than luffy at ShaB could also attribute to the fact that he was from tougher sea and made a name for himself before luffy even set out to sea. which was just revaled in the last chapter of OP

Apparently they can’t tell what exactly he is or what he really looks like because he uses multiple appearances all the time. So to stop the risk of giving out 200m+ for a fake racoon, his bounty will never grow.
