You had me right up to the cool whip topping. I would beg my grandma for this pie every year for my birthday gift. However, her pie had a merengue top. I've tried to make one but my filling doesn't stay set up after browning my merengue. I end up with peanut butter pie soup 😂. I'm so thankful to you for the base recipe. Now I just need to figure out how to top it differently and not spoil the pudding part. Wish me luck!!!

This is exactly what I was looking for. Not a peanut butter cheesecake (which most of the recipes are) but a real peanut butter pie. Thank you for sharing.
