Did you ever hear the Tragedy of the Kings Indian Defense? i thought not. its not a story traditional chess players would tell you. The Kings Indian Defense is a Hypermodern opening, so powerful and solid, you can let the opponent just take the center... it so powerful, you can even then take the center back from the opponent. The Hypermodern opening is a pathway to many abilities most players from back then considered.... laughable.

It’s crazy to me that as soon as Danya plays someone who is good his chat assumes they’re cheating. He’s getting into like 2300+ plus players, they’re going to find good moves lol
@screamingliner3 жыл бұрын
People see a move they don't understand and they think it's a computer. So as you get to tougher opponents making better moves, it's going over more and more heads, and the chorus grows.
@mrcarlsjr123 жыл бұрын
The thing I don’t like about that last guy is his time management. Why play a perfect game and just flag. If you are 2300 you’ve played probably 100000 games of chess, and you’re just going to flag? Doubt.
@scottfowler3 жыл бұрын
He has run into a lot of cheaters around this rating level, so it's not without precedent. They certainly are too quick with the accusations, although that's something that happens in every chess stream and to Daniel's credit he shuts down accusations more than most
@nklristic3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is irritating. Even in classical chess surprises can happen, let alone in speed chess where it is easier for a strong player to blunder. If every surprising win is looked upon as cheating, then what is the point of playing in the first place if you are lower rated than your opponent? :) Sure, cheating is a thing but still...
@darrenfleming79013 жыл бұрын
Also his opponents are getting winning positions with like a pawn up, usually computers are much much stronger than that. And the way computers play they like choke you out and progressively limit want you can do, so these guys playing smart and winning a pawn or two isnt really impressive enough to be cheating. Like the last guy had 92 accuracy, if your computer can only get that accuracy then its not even strong enough to beat really good players, if he had like 97+ accuracy then you would consider it.

In game 3, after allowing Nb6 wasn't there an exchange sacrifice with Rxa5 Rxa5 Qxb6? Rook has to drop back, but we have this mass of pawns on the queenside that are going to be past, and material is even. Is this an ok exchange sacrifice to go for? 36:00 is the timestamp of the position I'm referring to.
@winterwolf34353 жыл бұрын
After the first Rxa5, white can just not take back and instead go something like Bxc5 or other moves because the rook on a1 is protected

10:20 how should I approach an endgame like this if white forces it? personally I get lost in positions like this, there in no enough pieces to plan an attack but there is enough pieces to make easy to blunder.. especially as I drop my guard thinking "I survived the opening I cant lose now" all I know is complete development and put the pieces in the best squares possible but I don't know when to accept trades? when to push pawns? activate my king? I keep wasting a lot of time struggling to find a move... I'm rated 1300 rapid and 1000 blitz in chess.com btw

Folks, anyone knows what is the equivalent of 1650 chesscom rapid rating in lichess? That's top 2% in chesscom, while to be top 2% in Lichess you gotta be over 2150. The thing is I'm not even close to 2000 in Lichess. I don't know what my rating should be anymore. Continuously losing to 1800s! Would someone share his/her thoughts?
@scottfowler3 жыл бұрын
A really rough answer would be about 200 points, so 1650 on chesscom would be approximately 1850 on lichess. But a more correct answer is that they're two different pools and the gap could be different at different levels. A chesscom 600 could be a lichess 1000, while chesscom 2500 could be lichess 2500 as well.
@NotoriousKhamid3 жыл бұрын
@@scottfowler Is it from a recent personal experience or just speculation? It's just 1200 chesscom is 1500 Lichess. So +1600 should be +2000. Someone who is 1550-1650 said he's +2000.
@NotoriousKhamid3 жыл бұрын

I'm 40 odd percentile on lichess, 70 plus on chesscom. Apparently the latter skews heavily towards casual players. Ultimately the best point if reference is yourself, i think.
