Love the fact you have a really strong player playing probably one of the best games of their life, a piece for 2 pawns up going into an endgame with clocks even on about a minute each. “OK now I’m going to flag him....”. Proceeds to give lesson on how to flag, explaining each step.....

This guy's prep was really good. Bd3 is an improvement over theory even without the weakening Qb3. You have to leave the Queen alone, play a6 before castling, to put the question to the Bishop before knowing what should be done next. Once the Bishop moves off the (potential, post-d6) pin, d6 should still be played before castling! You cannot give time for the reinforcing Bf4. Amazing.

Pawn takes knight, queen defends pawn so rook can’t take back and then Rxg6. White essentially loses all the advantage and is down a knight. Also, the black queen still protects the black rook on h7, so you’re not winning material after g pawn takes knight.

I have a hard time believing that many people would see a 2300 play well and think anything other than the obvious - he's a high rated opponent, of course he's going to play really well.
