Grandmaster William Cheung recorded by Sifu Dom Békés performing 'Bil Jee' the thrusting fingers form from the Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu System. The Bil Jee form introduces two new distances in the Wing Chun arsenal, the finger strike distance and the elbow distance. Grandmaster Cheung shows how to take the movements contained in this form and apply them to strike pressure points on the opponent. Easy to use following the BOEC method of attacking the opponents balance, and attack the open targets as well as controlling the elbow and taking advantage of the opponents position when their arms cross! Of course for best effect and so the techniques work properly this should be done on the opponents blind side! Watch the elbow! Watch one point! Control the elbow! Control one point! and fight on the Blind Side!

I see that grandmaster CHEUNG does his BUI GEE a bit different than IPMAN and his crew.. I suppose BRUCE LEE as well.. I respect it and give him props for staying true to his interpretation

Thanks GrandMaster Willam Cheung. When I first started training in martial arts, Bruce Lee was my driving force in study. I also owned a copy of your book Wing Chun by William Chung in paperback. I have heard many stories about you and your Wing Chun skills throughout my lifetime. I still practice when possible. Thank you for sharing your video, I watch it over and over to pickup the finer points of the form. I still can do push-ups on my fingers at 56. Thanks again. Your friend Ken.

Most techniques work once u have the ability most people 'train' for combat yet they're slow, have horrible aim, reaction time, coordination etc. Thats why u see these fools go 'this doesnt work' 'tkd is shit' 'karate is best' 'bjj is best'

I tend to agree ,but,realizing this is a moment in time,a moment of instruction.. It should be followed by a full application and power with a padded up person of course... BRUCEJJ66 2 months ago A punch comes in. That Isn't intended to actually hit or hurt you. That is then considerately held in position for you to grab. And then you do this. Then that. Then the other thing. Alright? And people believe this stuff would work. Wow.

It is the floating rib. You have one on each side of the rib cage. The bottom rib that does not attach to the rest of the rib cage at the front. Hence floating ribs.

Well Biu Tze attacks are not finger attacks, but rather using the palm side of the hand really. If you strike with your fingers directly, you are gonna break them. Even if you attack the eyes or throat, missing the target can be bad for fingers. While using palm of of the hand with Biu Tze or the Faak Sao to throat, is more safe.

The Bil Jee form (thrusting Fingers) is exactly what it means, fingers used for attack. You pivot using the wrist as you strike so that the power of the strike goes in but you don't receive the reactionary force or returning force as a jolt in the fingers it is dissolved away by the pivoting action of the wrist. It takes practice and timing. If you get it wrong you can damage your fingers.
@pastorvidro4174
@pastorvidro4174 6 жыл бұрын
Joel Mikkola that Not true . Bil Jee ( correct spelling) does use the fingers if one learn and use them Correctly . You can and will attack the Presure Point . That where the Modified wing chun don't teach , they do the forms but don't explain the application .

There’s actually more useful stuff in the movements that return towards the body. I did 2-3 years of Cheungs WC in Melbourne and to be honest the level of understanding of pressure points was very basic even though it’s actually jam packed in things like Wooden Dummy form.

For those who wonder what is the purpose of Biu Jee, my speculation is that it might be used as a counter for someone who is also practicing Wing Chun. It doesn't feel more effective than Chum Kiu against non-Wing Chun. This is an assumption.

If its any help Bil Jee introduces two new distances the finger distance and the elbow distance. Once you have a good grounding in the rest of the system you can develop your striking efficiency. The elbow strikes add the power of the body onto the power of the strike and the finger strikes are for targets like the eyes and vulnerable areas on the neck that require a different method of striking to get a good affect from hitting those target areas.

His Biu sau movements are too exaggerated, his huen sau movements are too big of circles; big circles equals big problems. Secondly, there are too many leg movements, he should be incorporating shifting to help redirect power and force and not rely solely on t-stepping. The Bui Jee form, actually, all the forms are meant to be simple with note that many leg movements to keep the Wing Chun system simple; William Cheung's interpretation of this form leads much to be desired in all honesty.

Hey Yo Pomdin, How do you 'actually know' anything from an internet comment? Do you use that Kung Fu mind reading technique on the street to know who 'actually trains'? lol I guess you've never seen a Joe Rogan podcast to 'actually know' what most people who train for a living think about your sifu's superstitious bullshit. Cheung became a millionaire off of brainwashed idiots.

If you're both completely unable to understand the purpose of a demonstration and a lesson then you clearly don't have the intellectual level to discuss anything.... Nobody ever said that people will just hold their fist and do nothing will you do your technique. Nobody ever taught that and that's not even said in that video.

Sium Nim Tao is the first from, Chum Kil the second, Bil Jee the third. Then come weapon. Bil Jee is the most advanced form without weapon. Plus there are as many Wing Chun form as there are Wing Chun School and Lineage. Saying that the form of one of the Grandmaster of Wing Chung is "made up" only shows your complete ignorance of Wing Chun.
