"first" implies the beginning of whatever he said which was the FIRST move of the puzzle. if you watch the video you can clearly see he was talking about the first move and not the best move which he struggled with or 'does not care for'

I had a dream I was stuck in a broken elevator with magnus and we started to play a game of chess. Halfway through the game the elevator doors opened, and I said "well, bye magnus". But he wanted to finish the game, and I said no I'm busy. And then magnus spent the rest of my dream chasing me down like slenderman trying to get me to finish the game. It was kind of scary tbh

I'm pretty sure this is from the speed chess championship, so there's only 4 participants. Hans, however spent his whole interview being a Levy hater so it just left Hikaru, Alireza and Magnus.
