That's what I'm thinking, but maybe it's different when it's your family? Like you see red flags in strangers or people your friends/family are dating, they're obvious and you want that person gone before something bad happens, but when it's someone you're close to/care about, the red flags aren't obvious. They way I’ve heard a psychologist explain it , what happens when someone watches a lot of porn over time it has an affect on their brain. After a while they no longer get any satisfaction from just regular sex so they start to seek out new ways to fulfill that satisfaction or get an arousal. Psychologist would never approve of leaving a child alone for long periods with someone who has a serious porn addiction. That addiction will often sear the person senses and cause them to do things they would normally never do.

The smoothness and calm he has is the most frightening. This man is a skilled and practiced liar n coupled with the fact that he's a sexual deviant there is literally NO telling what he's done. I also don't mean harm but when I notice a huge gap in the attractiveness of a man and woman with children....it's often because he is simply using the woman to get near to his actual target, her children or grandchildren. My grandfather did the same thing to me growing up but I wasn’t intoxicated,I was just terrified. He was a former police officer and would subdue by finding pressure points to keep me still. It’s so sad how easily they can lie and just about get away with it for the most part. Needless to say he’s not in my life anymore nor will he ever be in my children’s. If you suspect someone has or is hurting your children or even yourself please speak up..could save another person the trauma.

I had no idea this was going on. I wouldn’t have went to the cops and went on the show. I worked a lot and have 2 other children. She never exhibited signs and he never did anything to me as a child.. I’m glad your mother was able to watch you while at work. I wasn’t able to do that.

I was being sodomized and molested by my daycare lady's husband and her 2 teenage sons from the age of 4 to the age of 8...I didn't tell my mom for years and I didn't show the "typical" signs of abuse... She blamed herself for everything because she was a single mom working 2 jobs and she didn't have anyone else to watch me...Especially being a licensed daycare center, you'd think it would be safe... She was a rape victim herself, so I'm sure she did everything she thought she could do to protect me but more often than not it's the people closest to you that commit these horrible things.

I have loving parents my dad is a hero and my mom was super mom we had friends that we would have play dates with they would come to our house and we would go to theirs in one of those visits my friend stupid father touched me inappropriately! Not too long after that my parents stoped us from visiting that family despite how vigilant and loving my parents were I still fell victim to that. I was 22 when I finally told my dad what happened and we live in America now; while this happened in Nigeria and all I can say is I am happy for the distance cause my dad would have been in jail for murder cause that’s how angry he was when he found out; I finally asked why we stopped visiting my friends family and he told me they suspected the father of doing the same to his daughters and that’s why they stopped us from going there and what I said proved their suspicion but sadly it was too late. So it’s not always about a parent being neglectful cause this could even happen at school sickos are all over now I do have hyper vigilance tho with my kids due to my experience I trust no one not even some family members on my husband side.

Tell an adult you trust, please! It might be hard, but especially do it if something has happened very recently so there will be evidence and you'll be safe. This happened to me from several people too, but you can ask for help. If you've been threatened, be sure to tell whatever adult that they threatened you. Tell everything. Try to give evidence.
