Wow. This hits so differently knowing that you are no longer with us GrandpaElliott. You were a beautiful soul and your voice, heart and soul will be missed. NOLA has lost two of her beautiful children between you and Anne Rice but heaven has gained so much beautiful talent.

Heard of your passing earlier today. Years ago, a buddy of mine was talking about this movement called Playing for Change showed me a video of Stand By Me featuring you and the dearly departed Roger Ridley. Since then, I've remained a loyal fan to the movement. God speed my friend. Give Roger our love.

I’m sitting next to my bed on the floor, with my 2 dogs. We are having some real bad storms in South La. just got the shelter in place warning, so I pulled the dogs next to me as I was looking at the map on my phone. Some how I landed on grandpa playing this song and me and the dog just got relax and just let the song soak in and behold the dogs got so relaxed, they fell asleep.
