So sorry for your loss. I can speak from experience that the pain never, EVER goes away. You just have to find ways to manage it. It seems a song, an aroma, a scene from a tv show or even certain colors remind you of your son. Just keep living one day at a time and be thankful for the time you had here on Earth with him.

I lost my grandfather to cancer 2 months ago. He was an old hardass to the core but i still cry like a kid when i think about about how mucj i miss him. I still remember, very vividly the dream i had, not a few weeks after he died where i walked into his house, knowing full well hed already died, and i saw him sitting on his bed. I immediately broke into tears, in my dream, and told him how much i love him and how sorry i was that i wasnt a better grandson. He got upset and said, "aw shit, man. This is exactly what i didnt want". But i cant help myself. I miss him terribly and always will. I woke up from that dream, crying.

Nearing 50 years in Puna/Kauai. Saw him in Hilo early 70s w/ Makaha Sons Of Ni'ihau. Dear God. From here on out as we approach apocalypse together, while I can still have the blessing of music, it's blues or Hawai'ian. PERIOD!

My wife died in May and a very close friend played this at her memorial celebration. What a wonderful tribute it was. Sally dreamed that Patti wanted her to play another song then the one she had picked. As she was driving that day she heard this four times. So she played it! The day she died, four different places all over the States, people told me that they saw rainbows and one double one. Thank you....

Listened to this song a few days ago and it made smile and cry. Smile because it takes me back to the islands while im fighting traffic or just having a bad day. Crying because this song just does that to you. Its just a beautiful song sang by a beautiful soul. Have a beautiful day everyone 🥰🥰

I love this song because it makes me think of heaven which is located somewhere over the rainbow. When Jesus returns and takes me to heaven (which could happen any day now, considering how crazy this world is) then my troubles really will all melt away like lemon drops. God bless everyone reading this message. And if you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Savior yet, do not delay any longer. John 3:16 is the simplicity of salvation. The key word is believe! Hope to see you all one day soon somewhere over the rainbow. 🌈
