I lost my grandfather to cancer 2 months ago. He was an old hardass to the core but i still cry like a kid when i think about about how mucj i miss him. I still remember, very vividly the dream i had, not a few weeks after he died where i walked into his house, knowing full well hed already died, and i saw him sitting on his bed. I immediately broke into tears, in my dream, and told him how much i love him and how sorry i was that i wasnt a better grandson. He got upset and said, "aw shit, man. This is exactly what i didnt want". But i cant help myself. I miss him terribly and always will. I woke up from that dream, crying.

When Jesus returns and takes me to heaven (which could happen any day now, considering how crazy this world is) then my troubles really will all melt away like lemon drops. God bless everyone reading this message. And if you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Savior yet, do not delay any longer. John 3:16 is the simplicity of salvation. The key word is believe! Hope to see you all one day soon somewhere over the rainbow. 🌈

I lost my very best friend 3 months ago @ the young age of 50. He was a tough guy, never showed his feelings much, unless he got mad...but even then it took a lot for him to get ugly. He had a lot of hidden demons, which I believe finally got the best of him. He succumbed to an overdose in the early morning of February 13th, 2024. There will never be another guy like him. In all his macho toughness, every time I'd play this song, he would come out to listen. I only wish I could have helped him more, or paid closer attention to his hidden pain. His dad left them when he was six, he suddenly became the 'man of the house' protecting his mom and sisters. Subsequently, he grew up on the streets. Tough guy, broken. And I thought I understood him. Lost...like me....we became fast friends. I can only hope that someday we'll meet up again. He meant everything to me. He didn't really have many friends despite being so dang likable. We clung together for 10 years...then all of a sudden he was gone. His sister played this song at his funeral. It was our favorite. This song lends to the easy spirit that was Ricky. May he rest peacefully in the loving arms of God.

This song makes me break down in tears the instant I hear it. My late son past away in 2007 after an almost four year long hard fought battle for his time on earth. My son received two small bowel transplants and one open heart surgery due to a mistake by a surgeon who was trying to drain his lung but missed and stabbed his heart. His story is too long and unbelievable to tell. The reason this song causes me to cry is that his nurses loved my son so much that they made a tribute video in his memory and this song is what is played in the background.

I am trying to find peace I know I have to be good to see him again. Me and God are not on the best of terms yet. I still am trying to forgive it for all the pain and suffering that I Witnessed. You wouldn't believe me if I told you. Did you know that raw bacon can be used to stop bleeding? You don't want know how or why I know that.

+Luke S. I'm so sorry for your lose, it sounds like you have been through a lot. You just need to keep your faith in God, one day you'll see your son again and right now he is happy in heaven. It can be a terrible thing losing one so close, I wish you the best my friend. God bless you.

+Toby vanderwater Thank you. There is always hope. I trust god and sometimes he rewards me. My son had a smell to him that was so unique because of all the different med and stuff. Every once in awhile I can smell that smell. It is hard to describe the emotions I feel when this occurs. I lucid dream a lot. But when he is in my dreams I have zero control. He is always older and has no scars. So he is in some ways is around.

Luke S. Dreams can be a very really and deep meaning thing, believe me, I've had experience with that, and it's a beautiful thing that you can see him in dreams in such a way. I'm glad you've kept your faith through all of this, for many people it can be too much and I admire your steadfastness. I truly hope you are able to find peace with this.

My son introduced me to this artist...this was the opening song at his memorial service after he died suddenly on May 8, 2017 at age 34. I play it multiple times throughout the year in his memory...always brings a smile to my face ( and a tear to my eye)

I'm glad it can still bring a smile to your face, I can't image how difficult it must've been at the time - to suddenly lose a loved one. I hope the passage of time and beautiful music continue to bring you comfort.
