Hey, thank you for answering my last question. how did you achieve this semi-tranlucent blurry material from the soft body object in the thumbnail. I think it looks really cool .
@graphicINmotion Жыл бұрын
In Redshift there is an option to add roughness to transparency. That creates this subsurface scattering look.

Hey! Thank you so much for this great free content! I'm having an issue when following along with the video. When you jumped into the vellum solver at around 12 minutes where you're able to add your pop force I noticed that you can still see the rest of your simulation and objects in the viewport. For me it's clearing my entire viewport and I'm no longer able to see anything. Any ideas why? I'm using Houdini 20.0.506 apprentice *note* I think I solved it. I closed out of the application and when I reloaded the project it was working properly. Not sure what happened, but keeping the comment in case someone else has the same issue.

Sometimes the viewport does not update. There is a reset viewport button under the Labs tab.

Yes, it’s the video compression. I recorded in 4K and compressed it down to FullHD. I won’t do that anymore. Future tutorials will be in 4K.
