Epic hike Eddie, went up Crag-hill from gasgale-gill and down to Keswick last summer, but your route here took in more peaks. A sterling effort, rewarded with stunning views, tremendous stuff.........................cheers,Stu. PS Rannerdale looks an ideal spot for a wildcamp.
@eddiecaisley57466 жыл бұрын
Thanks Stu. Yes, I am sure I watched your video when you walked from Gasgale Gill. This is a really good route, quite a steep climb up Grasmoor at the start, but well worth it. Rannerdale has some great wildcamping spots ( Great views!) Thanks again for watching and commenting. Cheers. Eddie.

I waa at work on this day was frustrated not to get out.Glad you made most of it with a terrific walk.The walk to Whiteless Pike from Wandhope is great for grabbing scenic shots..I have had a few pics blown up and framed. You had another perfect day for a walk with views all around. Certainly made the most of the last longer days before clocks changed..blessed with luck. Great stuff ATB Mark.

Wonderful again, Eddie. Thank you. Don't know if I've said how much I like your music, and I'm really allergic to intrusive accompaniments. It really adds to the experience. Have a great week, should you see this ..........

Morning Elizabeth, hope you had a good weekend. This was another really good day. The views were really good throughout the walk. I have experimented with different music in my videos. I now like the music to be purely background music with the main focus being on the scenery and the views. Thanks again for watching & commenting. Cheers. Eddie.

Great walk this Eddie. It just keeps giving and giving. Superb views from every angle. Kept a couple of sandwiches back for a bit of tea on top Rannerdale Knotts before heading back to the car and home. What a fabulous day. Hope you both enjoyed your day in Keswick and around Buttermere. Thanks again. David
@eddiecaisley57463 жыл бұрын
Hi David, pleased you had a good day, you are right about the views on this walk. Great views all the way! Rannerdale Knotts would be great spot to have a break, it has great views for a relatively low fell. We drove down to Buttermere on Thursday, but got there late in the morning and couldn't get parked anywhere, it was really busy! We drove back to Keswick, had some lunch and had a stroll along Derwent Water. We still had a nice day. Thanks for letting me know how you got on, I have been wondering how your walk went. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

I’m staying near to Crummock in a few weeks Eddie and I reckon I’ll give this walk and the High Stile walk a go (weather permitting). Your videos are very carefully put together and perfect for anyone researching possible walks to do. I appreciate your efforts and hope to enjoy similar weather. Take care and many thanks 🙏

Hi Jon, thanks for the kind comments, it is really appreciated. It is good to get this kind of feedback, it gives me motivation to continue producing the videos. This is a great walk if the weather is good and is a walk I would do again anytime. The same goes with the High Stile walk. Both walks have steep climbs at the start but well worth the effort for the great views. Fingers crossed you get some good weather. Thanks again. Take care & Best Wishes. Eddie.

Beautiful scenes Eddie, excellent composition, fabulous, smooth, informative and knowledgeable commentary as always. Well done mannn. I am hoping to complete six of my last seven Wainwrights in that area next month, your work has given me great insights and inspiration. Sent you an email about my topping out party too. Vince

Hi Vince, great to hear from you. Hope you are well. Thanks for the kind comments on the video. I really like the fells in this part of the Lake District. A steep climb up Grasmoor, but well worth it. I have just replied to your email, apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Sounds like a great night you have planned and the free buffet is very tempting, ha! At the moment we intend to attend your topping out party, we are really grateful that you have thought of us when planning this event. I might even buy you a drink! Thanks again for watching, it is always appreciated. Take care & Best Wishes. Eddie & Carol

Thanks Anthony. The views from Crag Hill were really good, probably my favourite on this walk. We have walked along the path from Force Crag mine back to Braithwaite on a previous walk, but like yourself never been inside the mine. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Cheers. Eddie.

Out of interest how long dud it take you to complete the walk please Eddie?
@eddiecaisley57462 жыл бұрын
Hi, It is hard to give an accurate time as It takes me longer to do the walks due to filming and taking photos etc. I would say this walk should take around 5 to 6 hours to complete. This should give you plenty of time to take in the great views and have a couple of breaks. Thanks for watching and commenting, it is appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

Great walk Eddie, superb views and once again gorgeous weather. Shame Carol wasn't with you on such a lovely day, I know she has been up Rannerdale Knotts but has she completed the other four, or will you have to do them again together? Your videos just keep getting better. By the way still waiting for more Mayerhoffen videos! 😊 Mary 🗻
@eddiecaisley57466 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mary. Carol has completed all the fells in the video. I wanted to do the walk up Grasmoor etc again as when we did the walk together, the weather was poor and we had no visibility from Grasmoor. ( Clag!) I will have to dig my footage out from Mayrhofen and get the videos done. Really appreciate the comments. Thanks again. Cheers. Eddie ( Did you get the Howgills completed?)
@maryashbridge6 жыл бұрын
@@eddiecaisley5746 Well you certainly got the views this time! Yes we managed to complete our final 8 Howgills, it was a great day, just short of 10 miles, the list we were going off has 40 summits. We still have The Adjoining Fells and The Whinfell Ridge to do, saving those for next year. How are you getting on with Mountain Mike's books? I thoroughly enjoyed them all, I even get a mention in his second goat book!
@eddiecaisley57466 жыл бұрын
Good, pleased you got the Howgills completed. We are still doing the Wainwrights. Carol is on 117, I am on 133, so we have a few to do yet! I am currently reading his first "Goat" book. Carol is reading "A path less travelled"( I think it's called?) We are enjoying reading them. Cheers. Eddie.
