My friend ended up stuck at work so we didn't get to this show until about halfway through Franklin's. Still, we had a great time. I really enjoyed the Stella that night.

Thanks for the share, Okie! I did the entire EC run from Hampton to Miami. I remember Charlotte Coliseum to be big, bigger than most arenas I had gone to previously and the sound was as cavernous as the coliseum itself. Was on the floor like 2/3 back and the sound was not all that great/a bit low to my liking but the show itself was another great one on what was a pretty excellent tour start to finish. This recording is on it, can clearly hear Phil tossing bombs away and everyone just ripping it up. Those were the days...

@@RicoSuave8 Also the cops were swarming that night; there was still camping ⛺️ in the parking lot so tons of people partying before the show. After the show not so much…oh yeah and I was tripping on Blue Unicorns 🦄!!!

Many undercover cops in the lot at this show, them doing their thing, deadheads doing their thing in a sort of dance around each other, the deadheads were good at dancing.

Yep, Charlotte always had lots of UC cops. In later years they started learning the lingo and the ways of the heads, but still stuck out like a sore thumb. Some guys I knew went there for shows and wound up getting popped with a tank. They searched the vehicle and found a room key, searched that and.... well you know. Those guys were locked up there for about a year

Did I miss it, or did they not travel across the Rio Grande in Mississippi Half-Step? Maybe Jerry wasn't feeling it or something.. 🫤

Couldn't get a miracle 🎫 , stuck in the village again that night. Feeling groovy, feeling out of sight. Then some cat showed up - asked if I was alright. Told him in my mind I was on a flight.

The band was straight up cooking when Brent died. I was slow to appreciate him but it's like night and day when he left. Edit- i realize he didn't pass til the next summer
