I will never forget this show!!! My first time hearing the truck horn during drums!!OMG that sound did circles around the spectrum!!! Thank you so much for posting! Had different seats than my friends that night. I sat next to a girl, and it was love at first sight, after the show I walked her to her car and we had no pen to exchange numbers, I told her to tell it to me and I would remember...i got to my car had no pen!! I wrote her number on my fogged up car window, but never did get it right.....I tried to call a hundred numbers close to what I thought was hers, and never got it right....I still wonder about the mystery girl....ahhhhhhhh dead shows were the best thing ever!!! so glad I was able to be part of it all!!!

We did spring and summer in 92 - most shows... DC and Philly were my local shows anyway.. I actually got caught at the door with a joint( forgot it was in my pocket) and they took my ticket and trespassed Me and a buddy.... We went out and a few older Heads had seen it happen- I was 19 years old-- they gave Us 2 free tickets and strong white blotter. Walked Us around building to opposite door and in We went... Great show after that.. found Our buddies, Who thought We were gone, or busted.. and danced, danced danced!!

I believe every Show has at least a moment or two of brilliance , regardless of where it was in the Deads career.... "in my day it was better with Ron ( or Kieth and Donna, or Brent)" some people will swear, but for someone who never got to experience the Dead until Brent was settled in ( like myself) , they could never have experienced an older show in person and I am sure they enjoyed what they did see (I know I did) . Some of my favorite stuff is with Bruce on the spring '92 tour. I have yet to hear a show that was not worth listening to, Forever Grateful for the Dead!

This isn't music. This is commerce. Bobby can't wait to get back to the "hostility suite" and nail groupies and Jerry is so bored he's pretending to play sax on guitar. I saw 103 shows between '79 and '89 and most of them were great - even Jerry's dark years. First time I was offered heroin in the parking lot instead of shrooms I bailed. Dark times had set in. Vince sounds like he belongs in a wedding band. How did he get in The Dead? Brent died, grab a keyboard player, we have to keep this train rolling. Miss ya, Jer,. You were a once in a lifetime treat.

I know what you mean. I cant watch this. crap. I will go back to my library of terabytes of dead from 60s 70s and bit of 80s . I had stopped going to shows myself by '86 about the time of JG coma. I was at the JFK shows and it was hot as hell. I saw one or 3 odd shows after the coma but I saw the music was different. Band was mailing it in

A little too harsh. Obviously, Garcia was in sharp decline but, even despite his loss of technical ability, he usually succeeded in projecting that unique, mysticsl musical quality. Usually. My passion for the Dead started in '74, and continues to this day. A great amount of late 90s material withstands serious scrutiny. Having said that, '92 genuinely had some of the most tepid performances ever. Just milktoast, no teeth, no drive, no intensity. Always wondered why. Frankly, it got better in '93-'95.

I missed Brent at these shows, The very few I attended. Don't get me wrong Bruce and Vince were OK, But just not the same...I guess like the blog I just read, Some people felt that Brent even after all the years with the band felt he just wasn't the same as Ron, Who was only with the band a few years. They also said that, AND I FIND THIS CRAZY That Vince was not allowed to play a hammond B-3 or a Full sized Piano...That doesn't make any sense to me. I read that on Blair's Golden road. Anyway I was going to Jerry shows since around the late 70's and continued to do so after all the crash shows. But more so.

Towards the end of the road it seemed that "Stella Blue" and "Eyes" were on the short list of songs that jerry really felt like playing, i still, to this day cringe whenever i hear trumpet and fucking horn sounds come out of his amps when there should only be guitar sounds coming out. I hated that midi with a passion. If i ever run into Bob Bralove i gotta ask why he stopped working for Stevie Wonder and decided to come over and ruin Garcia's guitar's with all that synth-sound. Man did that sound suck.
