I was 20 years old, hitchhiking from NJ to Syracuse to Hartford Spring tour 1980, ultimate peak Jerry, young and joyful, firing on all cylinders, all shows epic, never a better Sugaree, Catfish John beyond words, Simple Twist of Fate so, so beautiful, thanking the gods for this spectacular music and man, thank you, thank you, thank you!!

These two shows were smokin from start to finish both nights. Was on tour that spring and im actually from a town lime 20 minutes away and had loads of friends come to the shows to get them on the bus. They loved it so much 3 of them piled into my bus and took off for the rest of the tour. Man those were the good ol days.

We (Johnny , Bobby , Joey , Fugi ) saw / heard the G Dead do this combination of The Who's “Baba O'Riley” and The Beatles' “Tomorrow Never Knows,” captained by Vince Welnick on lead vocals. This combination would be performed exclusively as an encore at 12 shows . WE were at one of the 12 special shows. Ours was on June 6 , 1992 at Rich Stadium in Orchard Park , home of the Buffalo Bills. Full house , seats filled to the sky ! I was 43 y/o. I only went to 6 more shows after this ( after catching them 114 times before ) . Including , my last show , the massive Pittsburg FREAK OUT ( my last show of the Grateful Dead proper ) . Nobody knew what to expect . There was no interweb nor cells at the time , so we had no forwarning. I recognized it immediately as they started the encore by Baba's signature synthesizer riff . I got the goose bumps and chills up the spine . Such an upper. It went for a respectable 7+ minutes . So good. Everybody went home happy . 🤣🤪😵‍💫🤯😇🙏🏻 Bobby say RELAX ! Johnny say Carry On !

I was there somewhere, lost in the crowd. Hopped on tour in '88 at Monterey, CA, and i had to be at every show from then on. I retired to be rehabilitated after Brent died. Never saw Jerry again. Thank you for a real good time. ❤✌️

GD at the height of their power and skill. Jerry searching new avenues on sotm, Bobby's raspy synth doing heavy counter. The rain, the mist, the cows and trees and that stage monstrosity. The crowd vibe soaks through on the audio very well, just turn it way up on a decent system. Delete the the girlymen with the gall to pity the Captain, he was never any strongera teammate than this night
