Great to see this. Lesh, as always, playing the “reasonable moderator” keeping things light between Weir and the secretly demanding Garcia. I remember many times prior to this (1985 especially) where tension between the (relatively) sober and responsible Weir and Garcia ran high both onstage and backstage. Lesh was always the peace keeper.

I caught him doing pedal steel at my first show in '73, as he sat in with the NRPS. They opened for Leon Russel. If Jerry had lived a few years longer I think he would have moved closer to eastern music, like the stuff he did with Sanjay Mishra before he died. I got on the bus in '79 and got off in '88. ( Words are inadequate to describe it.) Jerry is God. LSD saves. NFA.

Busted, one more needling from Jerry complete with the look, and this time a pleasant laugh. (Bobby may have gotten a sterner chastising in a few shows, almost always without words, just the glare and the cut it out emanating from the stare-over-the-glasses . ) the best times, this shows a glimpse of the fraternity(maybe hints of paternity)

@@John-gq7um I will definitely check that out, thanks! Every time Jerry calls him by his last name always cracks me up. Definitely an older brother figure for Bobby.
