"From one of the Grateful Dead's first home videos, Downhill From Here, this is the Dead at a later-era peak. Cumberland Blues was a song that always seemed to be played well, and when they nailed it perfectly, as they do here, it's a six-man unit running at breakneck speed, acting as one unified force." - David Lemieux
Directed by Len Dell’Amico and co-produced by Len Dell’Amico and GDP.

Will you come with me? Won't you come with me? There's no better place to take a long strange trip with the Grateful Dead than right here. We've got music from every single studio album and a bevy of live albums, to boot. There are celebrated live performances from the 70s and 80s and official videos with more skeletons than you can shake your bones at, an exclusive seaside series on what's to come from the band's rich catalog and details on meet-ups all across the promised land. If it's community you’re after, try your hand at our yearly DEAD COVERS PROJECT competition and connect with fellow Dead Heads around the world. Heck, keep your eyes peeled you might even catch a glimpse of Pigpen on keys, Jerry in a GROOVE, Bobby tellin' tales, Mickey talkin' space, Phil and friends, Bill on the beach, or anyone from our extended family.

It's all happenin' right here. Subscribe and you won't miss a thing.

So great! The connection between Jerry and Brent was always incredible... almost telepathic I'd say. I got on the bus around '86/87 and never got off. The Dead changed my life in so many ways for the better!
Ай бұрын
Beyond telepathy, it was just flat out love and understanding. Those understandings went far beyond telepathy i think, same as they did with everyone else in the band too. Jerry and brent knew each other well and each knew when to so what and how and why. Brent caught on ao damn fast man and he was contributing songs his very first year with the band. That was amazing to see, brent joins in 79, go to heaven comes out 1980 and Brent has two of his songs on the album, among Barlow and Hunter doling out their poetry and their hearts, even to step up to the bat in their league was a major move and a powerful move. Brent owned it all albeit i always wiahed he had more confidence to how great he was.
