When I was a kid, my dad would buy me any album I wanted as long as I would listen to one he got for himself and then he would listen to mine with me. I loved the dead, him not so much but did not insult my taste. I went to their concerts with friends and loved the laid back scene. Years later as my dad is elderly and not as well, I moved him in my home and we would listen to music or have a video of a concert. I did not get out the dead concert films until one day, not thinking, I put one in and my dad was just loving it. Hell in a Bucket was his fave tune. Listening today I felt like he was here with me. Been a fan since their first album came out in 1967 and yes that makes me 65 lol

I thank God for the day in 1990 when my sister, with her packed VW bus, invited me to go see the Grateful Dead in Vermont. I went. To experience the Grateful Dead, it was not a concert, more like an "event".... Everyone was in a good mood, no negativity. The parking lot was a farmers field, and it was one big party..we ended up meeting up with 2 other groups of friends she knew. We camped out of her bus and it was one of the best experiences I had. The fact Jerry only had a few years left, I'm so glad I went. It was one of those invites you know if you don't go,you regret it.... I ended up getting fired from my crappy job, but it was worth it...

I can't believe anybody liked this album. This was nothing like what they were really about. In The Dark, Go To Heaven, Built To Last, and even Blues For Allah were all made after their creative and innovative period were long gone and over. I don't know how old you are but from 67' to maybe 75' was the good stuff. I think these albums were just a result of them having to fulfill contracts they signed with the record companies. I've never known anybody that liked this album, but this song was played a lot live and live it wasn't half bad, but The Dead & a music video is just a ridiculous idea. A complete oxymoron to the kind of band they were.

For 30 some odd years I thought he was singing,, “a taste of your elegant pie.” I only learned the real lyric to play in my band at the time.Funny that It made me think of Booger in that silly movie, “We’ve got bush. wE have bush!” First time seeing the video I had to do s double lookt to make sure the Dominatrix was not Kelly LeBrock. She was hubba hubba and a bag of chips when I was a teenager. “ do you boys want to take a ddhoeerThey wore swimsuits in the shower?”I probably would have too back then. Bwahahahaha!II’m cracking up here.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣✌️,❤️&🎸s.

"Willy's drivin' his chopper, up and down your carpeted halls...." After 30 years, it just now clicks with me that that may be a sexual reference.

it's "Cause when he's chargin' his chopper"

OK. May still be a sexual reference.

'Cause when he's drivin' his chopper up and down your carpeted halls, you will think me, by contrast, quite proper.

Wow…MTV era for them 😃 I know that wasn’t their scene but this works great! What a lot of fun, I’m so glad this happened to them, they got a taste of that side of the business and we got this! ☺️
