"After a 16 year hiatus, Loose Lucy returned to the repertoire on 3/14/90 at the Capital Center in Landover, MD, and it was an incredibly well-received bust-out. It came back in its slower, 1973 arrangement, not the peppier 1974 arrangement as heard on Mars Hotel. There was nothing better than hearing tens of thousands of fans singing the chorus back to the band: thank you for a real good time!" - David Lemieux
Directed by Len Dell’Amico and co-produced by Len Dell’Amico and GDP.

Will you come with me? Won't you come with me? There's no better place to take a long strange trip with the Grateful Dead than right here. We've got music from every single studio album and a bevy of live albums, to boot. There are celebrated live performances from the 70s and 80s and official videos with more skeletons than you can shake your bones at, an exclusive seaside series on what's to come from the band's rich catalog and details on meet-ups all across the promised land. If it's community you’re after, try your hand at our yearly DEAD COVERS PROJECT competition and connect with fellow Dead Heads around the world. Heck, keep your eyes peeled you might even catch a glimpse of Pigpen on keys, Jerry in a GROOVE, Bobby tellin' tales, Mickey talkin' space, Phil and friends, Bill on the beach, or anyone from our extended family.
It's all happenin' right here. Subscribe and you won't miss a thing.

I saw it performed July 4th 1990 at Sandstone. All the recordings I have heard from that show were not good. I hope the real archive has something better.

I lament that they added the dropped beat in the original back in the Dead and Co version to make it easier to play.

It got a bit shaky from 92 to 95 as Jerry began to dissolve before our eyes. I dont think there was an above average show after 93. But the last year with Brent was spectacular. All the pistons were firing. Brent really found his place, Jerry's voice was at its best in a decade. Bobby was doing some links that I never heard from him before or after, Drummers looked so freaking happy, Phil continued to be ridiculously amazing, There was a decent recovery from Brent's passing with Bruce in the lineup., but Jerry really became visable weak and ill to the point where he walked off stage midset in a frustrated fury. It was probably Giants Stadium in 94 or 95 if you want to look it up. So... I can see people saying the 90s were lame... but the final Brent run was as good as any Era, including 77. No doubt.

They look so good here, so clean and fresh, enjoying good weather...there is something uncanny about the tape. Who is orchestrating this cosmic reverie? Is it you, mother? Your beauty shines through here, just one of your infinite manifesting shapes. Why do you create this...And why is it so fleeting, an echo lost in time? Do you laugh at us when you look down upon us? Who are we to you? Why did you put us here? Why are they playing music celebrating you. Is it all predetermined, all just playing out as planned. Who are you mysterious lord...giver of life...bringer of light...

Thanks so much for sharing this. All of my early Dead shows were with Brent so he holds a special place in my heart. Seeing this makes me happy and sad... mostly cause I'm really missing my tribe..all the fellow heads out there who are automatically family at any Dead or Dead related show. Dancin and singin together. Everyone sharing goodies and so much more. The streams have been helpful but phew it's gonna be some rough times here in the US for any concerts for the rest of 2020 and while I'm thankful for the streams it doesn't come close to the feeling of being there with your community/Family. Hope to see you all alot sooner rather than later ✌️💜🙏🎵🎶🤞💯🍄🌈

I never see these shows featured anywhere beyond the archive. I’ve subscribed to Sirius for years and I’ve never heard them featured there either. It’s strange given how legendary that venue was for them -and the short time Brent had left- that it’s not brought up. Those were my only two shows.

Right, this is unreleased. May have circulated amongst collectors, but if you’re thinking this is already released you might be confusing this with the Truckin’ Up to Buffalo release from July 89, or perhaps the Farm Aid tv broadcast from July 86.
