I always loved his occasional verse he’d sing during a hot ‘Rooster. ‘ I was lucky enough to have caught maybe a dozen of those. Only song I can think of where sometimes Brent sings, sometimes he doesn’t.

Flew up from Phx, caught these shows, hitched to Telluride, then flew back from Durango to catch Mesa Amphitheater. A friend offered a Pink Floyd ticket to me the night before Mesa- I declined, I was too tired!

87 was a fantastic year. Speaking from the 22 shows I ( we- my ex) was lucky enough to attend from NYE 86 to NYE 87. I’m still proud of my deadicatuon in 87. And the trend would have continued in 88 (15) but more importantly, child decided to come out. She wanted to hear Garcia without amniotic fluid distorting the sound. Her first in 88 was inside mom on my 30th birthday at Buckeye Lake, and in true GD synchronicity, her first on her feet show was &/19/89 at the Greek. My first was also 8/19, but in 1980 at Chicagos Uptown Theatre. I love telling that tale. Synchronicity runs deep in my bloodline. As it does in my children’s too. ☀️🌈🌩️

Fucking outstanding, I almost feel for those who don't get to hear the boys. On the other hand they wouldn't understand anyway. Man the power and soul and excellence coming from dudes with instruments is mind blowing. The Dead will remain immortal and they are grateful.
