I’m an esthetician and the exfoliation head when you use it doesn’t hurt at all. If it does, you’re doing it wrong. It also has a pattern to do it, first is horizontally in the whole face, if you want a second pass, it’ll be vertically. If your skin can take another pass it’ll be diagonally. You have to stretch the skin too, always wear gloves and keep it at it’s lowest suction if its the first time using it to avoid marks until you get the hand of it! And for the other tips, steam your face first for 8 minutes so that your pores can open and it’ll be easier to get them out! If your face starts to turn red like really red, you must stop. Just remember, if you steam for 8 minutes, you have 8 minutes to do extractions!. I love using Microdermabrasion with chemical peel for me and my clients, it’s amazing! I would keep talking about it but I doubt any of you will read this haha

Do you have any suggestions for me? I have seborrheric dermatitis on my face mostly in my T zone plus blackheads and pimples. My skin gets extremely dry and red and peels. My dermatologist basically gave me cortisone cream and I haven't seen her since which has been a year. What type of cleanser should I use? I also have combination oily/dry skin. Should I use a moisturizer? Sorry I'm just kind of clueless when it comes to skin care.

I didn't see you open your pores with a hot washcloth first. This is really important before any kind of pore cleaning, especially pressure extraction. Also, Dogman is the BEST.

It's actually a scientific fact that pores don't open and close. BUT getting the skin wet w/ a hot washcloth will soften the skin making it easier to get the gunt out of your pores.

What people think are blackheads, on their noses, is usually sebum. Everyone had it, and actually removing them can leave those pores open to other material -- which would then make those pores larger.

One HUGE thing that will help this process is to hold your skin taut as you move it. 🙌🏼 That way there isn’t that extreme break of suction. This can do more harm than good and can cause broken blood vessels/hickey! Also each pass of the device should go a different direction with no more than 3 passes of the same area! Hope this helps💜

I'm sure that the above commenters can tell me if I'm way off base but I have friends with chronic eczema and really dry sore skin who use it along with the Aveeno cream, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body cream etc who've had really good results. You should have pulled the skin taut and only ran it over like a 1/2 an inch to an inch of skin at a time. Really it’s something should be done by an Esthetician that can give real results. Verses people struggle and hurting themselves at home.
