I built a Carbonda 505 a year ago...such a rewarding experience! I couldn't even fix a derailleur before and now I am thinking about a second built 🤣

Great video! Is the headset used in the video the one Carbonda sells?

Ahoj, především chci poděkovat za fajn video. Dále bych se chtěl zeptat na velikost rámu. Pro svých 180 cm si vybral vel. 56. Jak ti tato velikost padne? Dokázal bys říct, jakou velikost bys zvolil, kdybys měřil 186 cm (inseam 86cm)? Díky, Míra

Ahoj, ja mam 180cm (inseam ~86cm) a mam ram velkosti 56, s predstavcom 80/90mm je to napohodu, ale nabuduce by som zobral 54 ram a nahodil dlhsi predstavec ;)

Nice work! Even those cranks look ok What would u change?

I ended up buying a power meter and DUB crankset, which is running a little bit worse. Overall, the bike runs great! It is a good compromise of performance and price. I just ended up with better grip tape for comfort on rough terrain.

Cool video dude! I am doing something similar! It seem you got the Elite road wheels but added gravel tires? Is that correct? And if so, how does it feel? The max recommended size they mention on their page is 35mm!
@lukas0suky Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Correct, elite wheels. Those wheels are not exactly gravel ready, since the internal width is only 19mm, better would be something like 23mm internal. But I was running 38 and 40 tires without issue but it does not look that sleek. 35 tires look the best (out of gravel tires) and 28mm is even better but, I am primarily on 35 for now. No matter the terrain everything works like charm :)

congratulation for the nice job! i have the same frame. only a small suggestion: please, notice that those lightweight cheap chain from aliexpress are a mass. they stretch only after few km of use and the risk is to jeopardize also the cassette and even the crank. i warmly suggest you to buy a 15€/$ basic KMC one.
@giovannizorra38032 жыл бұрын
I sow now that you already "tested" your bike. I hope everything has gone well :)
@lukas0suky2 жыл бұрын
@@giovannizorra3803 exactly I have had 2 chains from aliexpress and both were super stretched after ~300km, usually on sram/shimano chains I can get ~3-4000km. But rest of the components from china are good quality and I already bought another climbing cassette from Ali
@giovannizorra38032 жыл бұрын
@@lukas0suky good do know that the chains did not ruin the cassette. I am the happy owner of a Chinese frame, with several Chinese components. Although, for wheel and group I opted for more renown brands.
@lukas0suky2 жыл бұрын
@@giovannizorra3803 I would not be afraid of Chinese carbon wheel as well, I have been riding really hard gravel and rocks and they run perfect, still strait, no adjustments were needed out of the box and they still hold true. I got "elitewheels" if you are interested. There is only one annoyance, free-hub is very loud.
@giovannizorra38032 жыл бұрын
@@lukas0suky no doubts about the quality of material, but I had some negative feedback about assemblage and spokes quality. Anyway, I consider alloy wheels more suitable for rough gravelly path. If in future I will decide to upgrade to carbon wheels, it is very possibile I will look for a chinese solution.

What are you thoughts on this frame thus far and the quality? Well worth the price?
@lukas0suky2 жыл бұрын
I would buy again if I could not find a similarly priced bike on the second-hand market. I am noticeably quicker on flats and hills, running on gravel is not a problem at all. Generally awesome solution if you like to save a few bucks.

You amaze me. You buy a nice frame and some kickass shimano drivetrain parts and decide to cheap out on a Bottom Bracket from Aliexpress? The BB is literally one of the cheapest parts you can get from Shimano at a much better quality.
