Tomii Cycles builds a great model called the Canvas that is a terrific one-bike do-all frame. His finish colors are terrific as well. And those hand hammered bells!! Quiet guy but his bikes are great.

That No. 22 aero bike looks really cool but it's got to be heavy with that much overall area. The square tubes reminds me of some of the carbon Dedaccai frames from about a decade ago.

Rob English builds here in Eugene Oregon, and I often see his masterpieces on club rides and local fondos. But WOW - his TT bike! I think within that cockpit is the spirit of Graham Obree. 👏🏻👏🏻

I own a Moots and love Ti but I think all builders are basically building the same type of bike. The only builder that is actually innovating is No22.

I've been following the custom/hand-made bicycle scene for over 20 years now & I must say they've largely lost the script. It used to be they, for the most part, swam against the stream. Even major manufacturers often stole ideas for their own take on design features, etc. But the number of integrated cockpits especially & use of Enve products was nausea inducing. Granted they've always used a select group of component suppliers, Chris King hubs & headsets and I remember one year 1/2 the bikes had Thomson stems & seatposts, but IMO they have lost the spirit of the movement making esoteric copies in different materials rather than truly innovating. Yes, there were a few notable exceptions, several of which were covered in your great video (please keep it up), but boy am I glad I had my Ti frame build last year with external routing before that goes the way of the Dodo bird.

The jury is still out on the longevity of 3D printed items. Is it worth serious injury? Ultimately the decision is yours as is the responsibility
@GravelCyclistАй бұрын
I think 3D printing has its place in the right area of the bike. For me, that means no 3D printing for a stem, fork crown, etc. Dropouts, no worries.

The first bike shown is a cartoon of a bike prototype. The seat is about three feet higher than the handlebars. Ergos like this apply to less than .01 percent of bike riders. Ridiculous.
