And this World Cup shows exactly where his supporting France team falls short. I don't think it will getting any better soon. Because players like Pogba, Griezman, Kante with who Mbappe won the 2018 World Cup (and also Benzema, if he is part of the team) will be much older the next World Cup. And I don't see the same quality of young players that can replace those to support Mbappe. If he wants to surpass all that greatness he also have to win a few Champions league title on club level. He's just too much of a wildcard and unlike the myth that Pele was somehow even the best player in that legendary Brazil side, Messi actually is and was always the best player at every team he played for and has been more times than not the deciding factor, throw in the fact that football has gotten more athletic and tactical in Messi's time than in Pele's it is simply amazing how Messi and Ronaldo maintained the level they had in the last decade... @@MrX-il2jt Just because a player has more trophies doesn't mean he's better, not only that but as I said, football evolves, the game of Pele's time just isn't as fast, physical (they made more dangerous tackles, that's it and it's not the same as intensity) nor is it anywhere near as tactical as the modern game, scoring two hundred goals in the championship isn't the same as scoring the same amount in the Premier league, Pele's goal tally is impressive but Messi and Ronaldo's goal tallies are insane. @@vik2381 you need football IQ as well and I think Messi and Ronaldo are born with this mindset to play brilliant football. Unless you become Adama traoré, strong and fast but no end result. I am saying this because Everyone saw how good was young Ronaldo, his knuckle balls and long range shots. You also need talent to do that not just hardwork. And most important of all, his skills and dribbling was also very good at that time. And for young Messi, he was a good dribbler but not a good playmaker and average freekick taker. He evolved so much from when we seen him young and now they are almost two different Messi's apart from dribbling and finishing although he is slow now. Just my thoughts and opinion.
