When China put missiles over Taiwan recently they landed in Japanese waters (not so far from the East coast of Taiwan Japan has some islands). This was not a random thing. China has a huge thing against Japan like WW2 finished yesterday or something.

@@naguoning Japan won't initiate any escalation to defend Taiwan, until and unless China directly take's a step to harm Japan, Japan is under US defense umbrella so it would possibly drag US into the conflict and US won't want it and hence will not allow japan to initiate. Though Japan has slowly started to realize that it can't rely on US for long hence Japan is upgrading it's defense for real quick

@@Abhishek-ef2er Taiwan and Japan are FAR closer than most people realise. Taiwan was a Japanese colony for 50 years and unlike most of Asia Taiwanese people tend to be very friendly to Taiwan. More importantly they see that they are next on China's list and it is just a short step from the East Coast of Taiwan to Yongani, Ishigaki etc (islands of Japan that are closest to the East Coast of Taiwan).
