I think these BTRs do a good job, in this kind of environment being mobile and with good firepower, since it's more of a maneuver war than anything else. I think this is the only time where having a BTR seems more suitable than a BMP.

Couldn’t have said it better. They’re a beast when used in conjunction with infantry and some AT coverage. Open terrain with exposed infantry is what these APCs excel at!

@@texoschannel4907 for some reason the Tank decided to push further into enemy territory before the mechanised infantry could catch up. I assume it was because I had enabled the “manoeuvre” modifier with the attack order, meaning that the AI has some freedom in diverting from the main attack location.
