Graviteam Tactics: Mius-Front - tactical battalion level combat simulation. It is a sequel to Graviteam Tactics: Operation Star and Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943.
Game is comprised of two modes:
Operational - turn-based mode where you can shift and concentrate forces in the chosen directions, resupply and replace units, repair and refuel vehicles.
Tactical - real-time mode where you are conducting fire combat with the enemy, capturing territory, destroying vehicles and the enemy manpower.
Four large-scale operations for the Red Army and Wehrmacht with realistic organizational structure. The campaign features more than 100 detailed vehicles produced in USSR, Germany, US and UK. Over 140 sq. km of realistic landscapes were reconstructed from topographical maps and photo and video materials.
New enhanced UI: streamlined interface of various panels, radial orders menu and other enhancements.
Interface appearance and customization: three variants of appearance are included, customizable unit markers (Red Army, Wehrmacht, NATO).
High replayability and advanced AI, which selects the best strategy based on behavior, not a predetermined script.
Advanced management of forces in the operational phase: reinforcement strategies and management of reserves.
Statistics keeping: performance of each unit is recorded (kills, losses, awards, etc.). After each battle, damages and condition of forces and vehicles are shown in the after battle statistics.
Battlefield simulation: realistic vision devices, smoke screens and flares, creation of trenches, explosion craters. Remnants of previous battles remain on the battlefield until the end of operation.
Realistic soldier behavior: each soldier has several essential parameters, such as experience level, stamina and morale, which influence their behavior and effectiveness.
Detailed weapon modeling and realistic ballistics: bullets and projectiles follow ballistic trajectories, taking wind, temperature and other parameters into account.
Advanced armor penetration: modeling based on ballistic histograms without simplifications of probabilistic methods, generation of secondary fragmentation fields takes into account many parameters, such as the change of the field shape in space, fragments and armor characteristics, armor thickness and damage conditions.
Complex vehicle damage system: engine, suspension, sights, weapons and targeting mechanisms can be damaged separately, affecting the combat capabilities.
Destructible environment: almost everything can be blown up and destroyed, from landscape surface and buildings to vehicles and enemy defensive installations.
Advanced control of the off-map artillery, featuring various fuse settings and shell types.
Formation and movement modes: lines and columns, movement by road and covertly, infantry following behind tanks, setting a delay, fire sectors, etc.
Automatic smoke screen laying: units set up smoke screens when enemy is spotted.
Dynamic change of the time of day, light sources and weather effects, influence the course of battle, visibility and area passability.

Just played graviteam for the first time since months, i got really frustrated. My tanks (18 of them) saw the enemy kv1s coming (4 in total) my tanks openened up but after a few minutes they stopped firing. They also turned their sides to the enemy....they murdered my formation, they killed 9. My tanks didnt listen didnt follow orders kept showing their sides and didnt even shoot. Fun

You did something wrong. Probably trying to micro the individual tanks which drained your command level which made them completely confused and disoriented. The majority of this game is establishing pre-planned movements and pauses, and then letting the simulation play out. If your tanks couldn't effectively engage the KV-1's at the range that they met, you should've have set a fire sector for the appropriate range, and then turned fire control off, and instructed the tanks to hold fire. Hopefully you had your vehicles in hull down positions, so the KV1's drive directly into optimal engage range. The game simply gives you realistic prarmaters and real life combat scenarios, everything else is up to you. If you use sound tactics and positioning, and play to your equipment and soldiers strengths, you will win and take few losses. If you are out of position, or trying to win engagements that are outside the scope of your equipment or personal, you will lose.

I have no idea what would of happen but set priority target may of helped. The game also has "command points" or a delay if you issue to many orders. Give the game another shot and limit your micromanagement.

The key is to have units engage appropriate enemy targets at effective ranges. To unnecessarily reveal your position by using ineffective fire is the road to death. The game models this very effectively. So you have to take care when issuing orders. There is a counterintuitive quality to this game. It is not a game for micromanagement. One needs to avoid just willy-nilly issuing orders on the fly. But when you do issue orders, you need to do so with an attention to detail and comprehensiveness. Learn to use the weapons. Machine guns have relatively long engagement ranges. They should engage enemy infantry at range. Anti-tank rifles and small bore AT guns need to hideout and engage enemy tanks at close range and preferably from the side or the rear.

I hope I conveyed that in video because I attempted to do something new. The ATR platoons are challenging to use and require a lot of support in my opinion.

points: define "prewar"?, Spend some time learning the proper terminology actions; IE, you called an attack from a company or so of T-34's an offensive. "offensive" is more of a term used in the strategic level of warfare. If you're going to teach legitimate tactics for the love of god learn to use NATO icons. Love the idea of content like this, please continue to make it, but keep in mind your target audience will frankly be mostly military or military fanatics, so try to be accurate with your terminology. will subscribe, recommendation for you, read MCDP-1 warfighting, its on google for free, and overtime it may change the way you play graviteam!
