This one is about how the floor diffuser works. Hi. I really enjoy your videos. Very educational and explained in terms most people can understand. Thanks! I've got a question. I just bought a Cape cod house built in 1959. It has a forced air oil heating system. What puzzles me is that all the return registers are below the windows on the outer walls and the supply registers are in the floor by the interior walls. Is this common in older homes? I live in the far northeast corner of NY State. We get stretches of sub zero temps for days at a time. Would it be better to reverse the flow? I do notice cold spots in some areas.

Can you make a video about balancing the diffusers in multiple rooms to get an even air volume distribution ? and also on the new zones (zoning) features (motorized dampers for each diffuser conduit) ? Good stuff keep them coming, thank you.

+Dicofole I will be doing many more videos on this subject. Balancing is one of the hardest parts of the install and I will try to dispel some of the mystery. GFM

Floor grilles don't work so well with ac.

+Mark Johnson cold air falls so without high velocity the air will not mix well and cling to the floor. Then gets sucked right back into returns
