Grays Peak and Torreys Peak

Met up with two of my veteran buddies again to check off two more 14ers. We camped near the trailhead after a slow, bumpy drive up the dirt access road. Grays Peak had a defined, easy to follow route. The turns were marked and the path was impeccably maintained. Thanks trail volunteers. After a short break on the summit, we descended the connected saddle and trudged up to the top of Torreys, feasting on the amazing views and splendid weather. A little breezy in parts, but nothing unmanageable. We took the connector trail down from Torreys back to the main path. Maybe next time we will brave the Kelso ridge. Bonus: mountain goat sighting on the way up AND down. A majestic beauty, his fur fluttering in the wind.
