Owning the Z for 5 days now. Today I went deer hunting and also brought the Z50ii and on the way to set up I notice a rock with a beautiful moss hairdo, then a tree with some incredible structure protruding out from the base of it so of course I had to teach the Z my style of composing and Wow she’s a fast learner. A few more yards and we can set up when all of a sudden I see this magnificent animal who must have seen me first and being patriotic he started his ascent waving his flag at me on the way up the mountain. Me being indecisive as usual I missed my opportunity for a shot on both the Z50ii and the muzzleloader. On the way home We discovered a hollowed out stump and the Z wit her built in flash took a few awesome shots including the leaves laying lazily inside, ( I so love that flash) . So far it’s Nikon 3 muzzleloader 0. Walking up that mountain holding onto that solid grip I know she’s a real workhorse capable of anything I throw her way with autofocus like Velcro and being a Nikon she’ll probably be around for decades.

Fantastic Show. I have them all Z 8 , Z 9, Z f, and still shoot the Z 50 with the 50-250 lens so I have ordered the Z 50 too with GREAT anticipation. Wonderful Bruno is there!

Hi did i understand it correctly at 13:00 that z50 ii has a low pass filter while the mark i does not have one ? Why would you add one with the new version?

If the 11fps mode has a small amount of blackout, does that mean it's not a slideshow as in the original Z50? Can you ask Bruno this? It would make the 11fps much more useful.

The Z 50 II I WILL USE for travel MORE than the Z 8, and I will NOT even take my Z 9 which has the 400 Z S prime all the time. But that Z 9 is on DX MOST of the time. GET IT NIKON????

Nikon needs to eventually have a DX body with higher megapixel, IBIS, higher specs/feature set, and more pro style body at a higher price point. Would be great if it had at least 30 MPs to give it a distinct advantage to using a Z 7 II, Z 8 or Z 9 in crop mode.

Oh and of course, you have to ask the most important question. Will it blend?

On pointing people who want a Z mount successor to the D500, to the Z8, I have to say I don’t agree. I can get a Sony A6700, right now, for under 1300 pounds. That has IBIS, the latest Sony AF tech, and I can get two for less than the price of a single Z8. The Z6 III is closer, but then there’s a resolution issue for wildlife. My use case is traveling, and I don’t want to carry huge lenses. Even the 100-400 is quite substantial, and the Z6 III in crop mode is only about 11MP.

Is Nikon likely to release a Z80/90 pro-level DX, with 33MP and Z8 features. That would replace my D500. The Z50ii falls too short, for me, and I suspect many others. For now, my Z8 set to DX mode is a better camera than the Z50ii.

I would also like to see a higher end Nikon DX camera, but don‘t forget the Z50II is below 1,000 USD/EUR/GBP and the Z8 is over 3,000. I think the Z50II is very good value for its price.

I would say, probably not in the short term. There are hardly any lenses to go with such a camera either. I'm actually pretty enamoured by the Sony A6700. The choice between DX and FX for me is primarily driven by the ecosystem. But there are many crop lenses for E-mount. I'm not saying I'll get it, but the price is not bad at all. Even though the Z8 is quite attractive in terms of price, maybe it's overkill for me, and I might prefer something smaller/lighter.

I thought the point of mirror-less was they were smaller and lighter. That looks heavier and larger than my Nikon DSRL with a 24-70mm.

The bodies are smaller but the lenses are larger. It's a bit of a con.
