Very helpful video. Casey covered the essentials in a good overview of grease issues and criteria. Thanks for this video. Grease is a very complex and critical subject. The wrong grease can cost you thousands of dollars in repair bills.

lucas Red n tacky is what most companies use. We use at the shop to grease all equipment. i use it in my bearings on my gmc as well

GC is for bearing certified. LB for chassis.

u also want a grease that works best at repelling moisture yeah most greases will do that but some are better like a polymer HD grease john deere provides and a corn grease is good too

That's partially true, while you do want a grease that repels water, if the application you are using it in requires it to dissipate heat better for example, you would use a different grease than a grease you would use in a boat trailer that tends to find itself totally submerged in water

@@caseysgarage5991 yeah i understand that situation you would use a marine based grease anything that incorperates with being submerged allthough the grease we use can handle being submerged but need to be greased at the bucket twice a day

Every video that I have watched so, far says to use grease, and use the right one: This one confirms that. That said, you can bet your ass, i'm going to use the correct grease. 👍 ...... I'm going to keep looking for an individual that knows what they're talking about so that I can get the right grease. I and probably 98% of the people viewing this will be voting for Project Farm along with his commentary, but he didn't test or compare the brands that I was curious about. Does anyone else out there think these videos are really funny, yet really disappointing at the same time? Mama always told me what do you have nothing to say...... ....don't. And daddy always told me when you have nothing to say.... ....... For God's sake don't make a video on play it on KZbin! I was brought up in the 50s and 60s. Mom and dad are gone but damn that I learned a lot from them. 👍
