Doing a vid is such a challenge in itself.. Wanted to point out some things I noticed. 1.) The camera crew all wether technical and film crew. Not just the guy who holds the expensive camera. The crew behind the lenses did great.. Very clear and amazing editing skills.. No heavy breathing from mic feed back, that one is key, true professional video. 2.) Doing a presentation infront of a camera crew is one thing, but infront of an audience as well as you tube, takes control.. Didnt panic after he began to panic.. Just kept on truckin, that in itself is a feet.. Great vid guys.

Full synthetic meaning, lithium based, silicone based, petroleum based, chicken grease synthetic??? Can u look to the side and answer the question please?
@joehardy798410 ай бұрын
lithium complex grease fortified with moly. This evening I’ve been looking into this. It’s a dry grease that is kind of powdery. From what I’ve learned, using regular grease is one of the biggest fail reasons for overlanding.
@adamscottmartin3 ай бұрын
@@joehardy7984 Your statement is false, but if you still believe it to be true then please share your sources. High-quality EP synthetic greases will perform as well or better in some use cases than a moly-fortified grease. Moly isn't a magic substance. You need to understand what the moly does to know why it is in there, and you need to check grease ratings for wear and washout test results to know how they will perform.

Do you grease the tie rods with the weight applied on the part or without the weight applied.

If adding grease ever oil change, would that over stretch the boot, as you previously cautioned. I prefer to purge my grease until only red and tacky is coming up. The only problem is the quality of some boots

Sway bar links have bushings, not boots
@doors17083 ай бұрын
@dthorne4602 Yeah I lubricated the inside of the boots and also the grease fitting on the Moog sway bar links. But I haven't done the rear ones yet because I don't have a grease gun fitting that is angled and can fit.

@@doors1708 front sway bar links for this truck in the demo don't have grease fittings or boots, they use solid bushings and require no grease. Maybe you are thinking about something else, or a totally different kind of car.

I bought moog ball joint that doesn't have the grease fitting. Now it's making noise after a year. Get something that has a grease fitting.

All moog ball joints have fittings, but the zerk must be screwed into them during install. If yours have a hole on them instead, somebody forgot to install the zerk fitting.

Nice. But you missed the part that people who already know how to grease a chassis part. What is the small plug where one would expect a grease fitting to be on the lower ball joint and how do you get grease in there?

The plug is usually red rubber/plastic and should be discarded when you install the zerk fitting

Currently greasing your PROBLEM SOLVER ball joints to try and squeeze some extra life out of them because the boots have all split after less than two years and 20,000 miles! Huge disappointment. I paid a premium for your parts that *might* last me 1/4 of the life of my OEM ball joints (if I'm lucky). Never buying Moog again.

*MOOG* screwes you over when it comes to their sealed units... my new control arms with ball joints are painfully obvious that theres NO grease in the boots... at all. And my lovely sway bar links have no grease from factory at all in them.. good job saving 3 cents worth of grease by not putting any in. Im cob jobing a syringe full of grease to slip past the boot and get SOMETHING in there. You can pinch the boot and feel rubber on metal it dosent slip or slide like anythins in there and mushing the boot around produced no visible or tangible grease... not impressed for the cost moog. Getting cheaper in quality
