Omg. No music. Thank you for understanding how to do informational videos.

I just watched your latest video before watching this, now it all makes sense why you added the toggle switch.

Thanks D, yes I really think that it was clearly missing something... the output switch should be on every power supply.

I have a similar power supply bought recently, but mine does have an output button. When powering the unit up it shows the last settings of voltage and current but the button defaults to "off" and you have to press it to activate.

Chris, that is kind of my point. All power supplies should have both a on/off power switch and an on/off output. This power supply was cheaper than some of the others I looked at. All PS should have output switches.

I just picked one of these up from my local discount store. I'm glad to hear that it is a decent one. I just need it for bench testing some small electronics for vehicles mainly.

I also have a DPS 3010U but mine doesn't have USB-C nor are the voltage/current controls digital, they are analog. There are apparently different versions with the same model number. The WANPTEK name is also white on mine.

Hi Lord, good to know that there are different revs of this model... I looked at the PCB to see if there was a Rev number.... I did not see one

I have the DPS605. For general use it's ok, but for sensitive stuff, like OpAmps it's noisy. Prefer to use batteries to give a dead quite power supply..
@brocktech-ql1wr Жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, I would agree that it is too noisy for some applications like OpAmps and most ICs. I also use a battery (12 volts ) stepped down to 3-5v... But each person will have their own level of expectable noise.... I also used a filter circuit I made to reduce noise and it was good enough for most circuits.

Looks like a Pixel. They only support USB PD fast charging. So it will be slow on the USB A connection. My guess for USBC is that it's broken for the voltage that the Pixel? wants which is probably 14V. Every time it switches it resets. If your phone is near 90%+ and doesn't want 14V anymore it probably won't reset like that.

I bought this same supply. I need clear instructions on how to set constant voltage and current
