Very obviously clearly thought out, thorough but kept pace, no saying the same thing over and over again and bonus points for timestamps - bellisimo! This. This right here is how to do New World content! Subbed, thank you for the great guide, its got me itching to give new weapons a go after being predominantly ranged dps with combos of ice gaunlet/firestaff/rapier. Really enjoyed the video. Am nowhere near lvl 60 but have been experimenting with greataxe/rapier/hatchet as a companion to my lifestaff while i either solo level or pug the occasional dungeon. It is good to hear a considered and well delivered view on how this takes shape at higher levels. Often (not here) I find game content to be hard to watch - turning what could have been an informative guide into a rushed and nonstop torrent of info - with little thought given to the structure, pace or conciseness of delivery. Just wanted to say that in contrast I found this very approachable (from the POV of a relative beginner). Good luck with the channel - I'll definitely be watching more of it.

Great video. I played a good amount during the beta, so I knew I'd be running Life Staff in full release - just wasn't sure what secondary to use. Originally, I was running Sword and Board for a Paladin build, but quickly decided it wasn't for me. I changed between Fire Staff, Ice Gauntlet, Great Axe, and Spear before eventually settling on the Hatchet. I thought berserk was a super strong skill and berserker skill tree in general was good. The healing, damage buffs, anti-cc, and damage skills all seemed to work very well together, but certain things like having basically 3 scalings (strength, dex, and focus?) and bad tracking on attacks and skills was a little awkward. I'm very excited to start trying out the Great Axe after watching this video. I didn't read enough in it's skill tree before to realize it also had many of the things I enjoyed about Hatchet such as damage buffs, Grit, and healing. Really great and informative video. Length was long, but necessary. Hope you and your channel does well.

Great video! Very detailed and I like that you went into why you chose each skill point, I have just changed some passives on my very similar build to try them out. I'm also going to try 100CON as I've been running 50CON and I don't think being more tanky will hurt haha. One thing I would like to say is I did a little testing on using STR in the build (I was running 100STR for while), I checked the damage with 100STR and with pure FOC. I had a T5 Amber gem socketed for both scenarios. The pure FOC build did almost the same damage as the 100STR build and my heals were much more potent. Here are the damage numbers for each (PHYSICAL/NATURE = TOTAL): 108STR/243FOC ~ 593/633 = 1226 24STR/327FOC ~ 451/763 = 1214 I did not dive deep into FOC and STR scaling or trying without the gem, but my damage increased by 1% using 100STR and my healing increased by 15% with the pure FOC build. I think for the sake of that damage difference, the increased healing is going to be a lot more beneficial, especially if you want to heal expeditions as well.

Found this Channel (or rather you) by accident (KZbin recommendation, since I searched for so many healer build videos) and I am really impressed. I love the deep dive and the Idea to go with Great Axe. Usually I prefer the light and quick attacks - playstyle. But since I am playing almost all the time together with my fiance (and it is her first MMO), we really lack some sort of tank (I played Life-Staff+Musked (of course with Amber Gem) and she Bow + Spear. It is pretty fun to see enemys die at 50m away from you.). I know exactly where to go from now on. Keep up the great work and let those crazy builds coming that are boiling in your head. @@LemoniGames Just keep up the good work. What weapons do you think also work in combination with the life staff? As I said, musket can be pretty fun for the cc it can bring. @@LemoniGames Not yet. Since weapon level is a thing it kinda prevents me from trying too much different stuff. And if I farm too much my fiance will be upset if she is too far behind me. Also since we play together sometimes she has the aggro and the mobs aren't really grouped up. Often we don't pull more than 3 mobs at once since she gets easily overwhelmed and panics. :D that is why I think your great axe build suits that better. So I can pull the mobs away from her and act not only as a healer, but also as a protector =)

Neither protector's touch nor Inspire, take the 3% mana regen for the whole group. That means your whole group ouputs more heals, more damage, more cc, more whatever AND it's 30% more heal for light's embrace meaning right of the bat LE heals for 160%, surpassing DE's 150%. Also if you want fortify, there's a weapon/armor mod that gives fortify to sacred ground as if it wasn't broken enough.

I'm not sure if anyone has commented on this, but one thing to note about Beacon and the Haste buff is, that Beacon will give you a buff that continues to heal you even if you leave the Beacon, the haste buff will always refresh if you are receiving any healing from that buff for the full duration. This is insanely strong. I would also advocate for some more points in the protector tree, I know the healing ultimate is quite strong, but I think every point in Light's Embrace is insanely good, any tank will tell you that this 25 stamina that you give them is not just situational, it's incredibly valuable, the same goes for extending buffs on the targets, in my opinion that outvalues the extra 30% healing IF you heal a target under 50% health.

One thing to note is that heavy pull is currently bugged, and prevents you from using a charged heavy attack, the result is a huge dps loss. So it's far better to take maulers resolve than to take heavy pull for the first point on the right tree.
