I was half anticipating a throwback to your old school intro with the clip of you holding on to the camera cage/rig as it is totally relevant to this review!

I am a bit late for this comment on cages for the X-T4, but I noticed the following. You did not do a review of the Smallrig cage for the X-T4. I owned an X-T4 camera and purchased a Smallrig cage for it. I was terribly disappointed in the cage as it only had one bottom 1/4"x20 screw t mount/anchor the bottom of the cage to the bottom of the camera. There were no top anchoring points provided on the X-T4 cage as there are for the Smallrig X-T5 cage which anchors to the top corner camera strap holes using an M2 screw for each of the two strap holes, respectively. This design oversight resulted in the top of the X-T4 cage not being firmly attached to the top of the camera, and the cage displayed a slight back and forth (i.e., front to back) movement with a slight bit of hand pressure. I finally decided that this was very much unacceptable and sent the Smallrig X-T4 cage back to the company for a full refund along with a full explanation of the problem. I suggested to Smallrig that they redesign the X-T4 cage similar to the X-T5 cage and use an M2 screw in each of the top strap holes of the X-T4 camera to anchor the top of the cage to the camera, and market the new X-T4 cage as an updated/improved version of the original X-T4 cage. The company representative said that they would pass this along to their design engineers. It will be interesting to see if they actually do this for the Smallrig X-T4 cage. My question is: Did you look at the Smallrig X-T4 cage and not review it because of this design defect, or was it not reviewed because you believed the Falcam F22 from Ulanzi (reviewed in this video) was an overall better cage for the X-T4? Thank you for sharing your knowledge about Fujifilm cameras with your viewers. These videos have been a great help to me.

I'm glad you like it. Their cage for Sony A7C is painful to work with. It is impossible to connect a speed light or flash trigger to the hotshoe due to a terrible design flaw of the cage. I sincerely regret buying it, imagine having to remove the camera from the cage whenever a speed light is needed.

These Falcam quick release accessories are really neat, I definitely plan on picking some up. Just wish they made a cage for the X-T3!

Looks like an interesting kit. I think I prefer the arca swis dovetail built into the base rail like small rig do with their X-T4 cage. Unless I missed it can you fully rotate the rear screen like you can with the smallrig unit. That quick release system looks good, and the fact that you can buy the full kit is nice. I watch their site and they are starting to produce some nice gear

You could mount a small button type magnet to the cage using silicone adhesive (easy to remove if you decide to remove the magnet). The screw driver blade shown is held to the magnet. I always carry a small screw driver with adequate blade width for 1/4"- 20 type screws in my camera case accessory pocket.

Hi! Thank you for another one informative and well-done video! I would like to ask a question if you don't mind. In this video you mentioned magnetic holder for the tool. The question is: are magnets safe for the camera? For IBIS, IOS, focusing motors or something else? Thank you in advance for the answer!

Thank you for this review! It looks very attractive. It's interesting that you've mounted the camera in the case without removing the lens. I cannot do it with my case, as it is not big enough to stick the lens of roughly the same size, I need to either temporarily remove it, or disassemble the frame into two parts (which is easy though). Can this case be disassembled in two parts for this purpose, to avoid removing the lens? What about the top handle? Are those 3 fixed positions all you can do to balance? No way to fine-tune the balance (as with NATO rails)?

It might be tricky with the image shown @3:43 . I can't use a flash on my A7C when mounted in the cage. It's defeats the entire purpose of a "quick release system" if you can't quickly attach/remove a flash from a camera.

Thanks for this informative video. I really want to get this kit. However, when I followed the link and entered all my information, I realized that Ulanzi wanted my money without telling me expected delivery date or even if the product was in stock. My need for this product is time-sensitive and besides, I don’t trust a company that withholds that vital information. I tried other vendors (Amazon, B&H, etc.) and they have the basic cage but not the whole bundle. Does anyone know who else might sell the bundled kit? Or at the very least does anyone have a complete list of each of the accessory gadgets mentioned in this video so I can buy all of them separately and be sure not to miss one?

Hi @pal2tech, is F22 cage suitable for XT5?
@gopals2642 жыл бұрын
Sir, after too much videos and articles, I have decided to go for Fuji camera. but here also confused, 1) X-T4 = Costly (else this is first choice) 2) X-T3 = Weather sealing + 10 bit + iso, exposure Knobs on camera body + better EVF 3) X-S10 = IBIS 4) X-T30 II = low price of all + iso, exposure Knobs on camera body This is my preference, what is your opinion among, 2nd and 3rd choice (X-T3 vs X-S10) Do, IBIS (X-S10) should be given more weight over Weather sealing + 10 bit (X-T3) ?

Wondering how this cage is with the manual dials on top? Both a cheapo and the smallrig cages are not fantastic and partially block the dials. I wish someone would make a cage for the X-T4, really paying attention to how the bar goes over the dials so they can continue to be used easily.

I use a Smallrig cage on my XT-3 for video. Smallrig makes great stuff, but are very a la carte and a little more spendy than the one in the video. In fact, the one in the video looks like a copy of Smallrig.

Your suggestions to the manufacturer and to Fujifilm are very good, but I think one thing is wrong. Your SmallRig.screwdriver is just ridiculous, so you should rather blame SmallRig - the cage is perfectly fine and even impressive. Sinking the screw head in a perfectly fit tight opening is a good feature, not bad.
