This was a very good idea for a event Brian, full marks to GCR, which I will attend if they do it next year. looks like another great day you had with the diesels, but that was interesting having the cheeky spider running over your cam mate, regards Mike.

@@antman09ful1 Yes Mike, I was surprised it was a one day event on a Friday though. I hardly saw anyone .... but did look out for you after last times 'near miss' 😁. As for the spider, I'm sure he had a camera too 😉. Regards,Brian.

A great video Brian. I've always had a soft spot for EE traction, possibly because my Dad worked for English Electric in Stafford for much of his working life, but more likely because my first diesel memories are of EE type 4s, later 40s hauling us from Stafford on the first leg of our holidays to St Annes in the early 60s. Just a shame they hadn't got a 40 in the line up. Cheers, Rob

Thanks Rob, I'm having a busy time as it was another gala today in the Cotswolds (It's live tomorrow). Glad it bought back a few good memories mate, Only worked on a couple of 40's myself but they didn't have the poke of our Sulzers (45/46's) with their extra 500BHP..... Cheers, Brian.

Thanks but no, nothing too fancy. I use two identical Panasonic HC-X920 cameras both fitted with Panasonic VW-VMS 10 external stereo mics. I'm satisfied with them but fortunately the day wasn't too windy!!
