I like how some owners have their dock lines "flemished" into a nice neat coil and their water hoses neat and out of the way. Our marina has man overboard ladders about every four slips. Also, swim platforms are excellent ways to get back on the dock or your own boat.

“Cowboy the tail” is a new term for me. Is it to loop the dock line over the cleat to enable releasing the one end and pulling the line aboard? Commonly what we do when there isn’t a dock hand.

0:41 Who is barking "COWBOY IT, COWBOY THE TALE, COWBOY THE TAIL, COWBOY THE TAIL, COWBOY THE TALE" (five times) as well as "FLIP IT" twice mixed in with that ridiculousness? I don't think that's a nautical term. What does he mean? It's really, really obnoxious.

We all learn differently. And some of us can’t hear when we are standing right above the engine vent so we need things repeated. And without any prior training including any nautical terms, when crew are aboard a boat for the first time (and we only have ONE day with them) we work from the foundation they know. Not ideal but at least they wanted some lessons. Our plan was to do a training delivery and build on a better foundation each day but plans changed for them. Woof!
