Go for it!👍 you won't be disappointed. Certain patterns aren't that far out of reach others are like hitting the lottery. And the secondary market prices are astronomical on some. But you usually can get a Calfpen or a Bullnose pretty easy. I highly recommend the Calfpen actually, a very underrated but useful working knife. Great whittling knife imo👍

I never tried a calf pen, though I should, because I don't like how they do liner locks. But there Farm and Field are a great way to go!

Nice review. I went a little crazy on the 86s when they came out and bought all three Tidioute models: Sucker Rod Wood, Oily Creek Bone, and Micarta. They are stunning, the open end wrench shield really sets them off. I would not let go of any of the three.

The tortoise shell acrylic from this run is really nice too. I think they did a great job with the 86. I like a big jack.

The #86 Oil Field Jack Chocolate Almond peach-seed bone knife is my favorite GEC EDC knife. I prefer single blade knives. I bought a bunch of GEC#86 knives.

love the half stops to bad every time i go to buy one they are always out! i think they do this to keep the prices up? and only make so many which is good for the employees they will always have a job! Great Knifes.

I ordered my first GEC yesterday. It is the #86 in tortoiseshell. It is only my second 1095. I am one of those lazy stainless steel sort of guys for my knives.

What is very disappointing is how Gunstock Jack jacked up the prices way high on Charlie's 86 S model and the single blade. He should have not allowed that.
