Great Glen Way #4 - Make It Happen

Leaving out of Fort Augustus we trek on through the ever changing weather, high above the shores of Loch Ness. We discover the hardest working foresters in the world, a most beautiful bridge, and climb up into a dark and magical forest that I definitely can’t pronounce. Late in the day, weary and wet, we seek a warm meal or perhaps a dry space to sleep - but it’s not to be. I know better than to be disheartened. In spite of the long and rainy climb back to the hills where we belong, I know inside the most perfect spot lies ahead…

its worth the detour up the biggest hill overlooking loch Ness, Meall Fuar-mhonaidh (meal for-vonny), because the views are incredible in all directions. you can pick out features in every part of the highlands from up there

A lovely meander along the shores of Loch Ness😊 And I thought they were lovely words by SunDance “this was an adventure meant to be shared” ❤ Just to add Famous Grouse is a nice blended whisky but if you get the chance to try a single malt, that’s another level of Ahhhhh😊
