West Highland Way #5 - A Magical Walk

As I set out along the west highland way, I discover a wonderful surprise growing along the trail. I climb conic hill, and roll on down the way into a familiar landscape. I find my feet just want to keep going, so I just let them, a 28mile day, and I reach the town of Milngavie and the terminus of this most magical trail late in the evening. Although everything around me is closed up tight for the night I am treated to a rainbow above me as I walk through the sleepy town. A magical walk this has been.

Bilberry or what we call blaes/ blaeberry. same family. smaller than blueberry but stronger flavour

Another wonderful wander with Huck in the beauty of Scotland. Congratulations Huck on another trail completed 😊People of Scotland correct this Englishman but I believe what Huck saw on the path was vole. And interesting how in one small country a blueberry can have many names, here in the far south we call them whortleberries. 😊
