Let's hope the Arthur Anderson never gets scrapped she's a historic vessel ..she sailed with the Edmund Fitzgerald on her last voyage in 1975 before the Fitzgerald went down with all hands

I saw her come through extremely heavy fog shortly before they layed her up around 2008. Could barely see anything and they had their fog horns going every couple of minutes. Pretty eerie sight

I did get an update: after researching, it’s the same horn the CBJ have had over their 24 year tenure: a Kahlenburg S-203C Similar to the American Fortitude, however very inconsistent in terms of sound from game to game due to age (similar to the fortitude) Your welcome

It’s the last ship on the Lakes with a connection to the Big Fitz herself. Scrapping her is akin to Cunard White Star scrapping Olympic in 1935. It’s not scrapping a ship: it’s killing history.

I remember everyone of the greatlakes frieghters on here. I grew up on the St. Clair river. My Father sailed in the late 50s too early 60s on The Interlake Steamship Co boats. My favorite frieghter is the E. G. Grace.

Those were two Leslie-300 steam horns and two Leslie 200 air horns. Fun fact: The Leslie 200's were used on old diesel locomotives and the all famous PRR-GG1 electric locomotive. I heard truckers put them on their rigs too!
