Great Lance Truck Camper Under $20k‼️ 2014 Lance 865 Just Over 2klbs

I miss my old 1181, when I retire for real, an 865 or 850 will be a perfect match for my 2023 6.6L gas 2500HD SB which boats 3508# of cargo capacity. Only issue I have is the hitch extensions got derated to 4K# at full length so it looks to be a 2-dr jeep to drag along rather than a 4-dr jeep. That 6.6L is a honey at towing & never complains or fails to keep speed on the hills.

Yeah, the 1181 is very similar to one of my favorites (975), although I do wish they (Lance) would bring back the 1191! Talking hitch extensions - do you have a 3” receiver? If so, you would be able to do the Torklift Cannon Extension! depending on length of extension you could get up to 11k towing and 1,100lbs tongue weight. If not, I think I remember stumbling across some Kurt or Reese extensions rated for 6,500lbs and 650lbs tongue weight with the weight distribution chains. I’ll have to look into that again

@@itsbrad The Chevy comes with the 2 1/2" receiver. I understand the newer Ford Super Duty has a 3" hitch now. I will keep working on getting to down to Chattanooga to browse my choices. -Dave

We loved the 865 but because of the kitchen lay-out we went with the 825. Love that Lance has so many options for 2500s and 250s.

Tempted (at that price) to get one and secure it to my box trailer, for towing with my Jeep. I'd have to beef up the axels... but it would be pretty cool!
