Also I see people saying that if 9070 is 85-90% performance of 5080 and it costs less than $500, only then they will even consider. So 85-90% of the performance for 33% of the price and they'd still probably not buy AMD? That's wild... Ps. MSRP's doesn't mean mean anything when talking about Nvidia, it's a product that you can't buy with a price that doesn't exist

@argmits2 сағат бұрын
Its not wild at all. With Amd you are buying a promise on fsr4. Nvidia has all that covered with a better solution quality wise and it is available now. No promises needed. Also better coverage and application of dlss in games than fsr. You buy a gpu every 3 years on average and so most people will prefer to spend 750$ for 5070ti when prices normalise instead of 500 on a product based on promises.Its my belief Amd should do an Intel move and go harder on prices to grab market share otherwise in a couple of generations they might just close the dgpu shop altogether.

@Johnny-fw9xj We dont but as previous generations have shown people want a complete package not semi promises. Amd has to go on attack mode like intel to provide a price that will make people invest on the promises they make. 100$ or 150$ even wont make a dent. If 9070xt is around 5070ti perfomance and launches at 600 or 650 its doa like many gpus before it. The $600 range for 9070 XT AIB cards could be alright. But the closer it gets to that $700 point the more it has to beat 5070 Ti for people to seriously consider it. Having said that, if 5070 Ti is another paper launch disaster like with 5080 and 5090, then that gives AMD more leeway with initial pricing. If AMD can do a real launch where most people can get a card if they want it, that could be a huge win. Waiting really sucks, though. Thumbs up.

So in the real world outside mostly from US if a product cost's let's say 499 we will and up paying 799 in the end of the day or more and even that it depends on the supply end demand,if the cards have high demand and low supply add another 200 to 300 on top of that 799. This thing can't be more than $499.99 if AMD actually wants to gain a meaningful amount of market share. Edit: I do realize that Nvidia stock is essentially nonexistent right now, but what makes y'all think that Nvidia can't flood the market with stock as soon as AMD starts competing? This is exactly what they pulled during the 40 series launch. Even if RT performance is the exact same, I personally would gladly pay up to 200 bucks more for a 5070 ti to upgrade from my current aging RX 6600, with presumably better upscaling with DLSS transformer model, multi-FG in niche use cases, DLSS video upscaling features, nvenc, and significantly better AV1 encoder decoder since there aren't any leaks about much if any improvements in this area. But paying anything more feels icky, and I'd pivot to the 9070xt.

True, but the thing is, 5080 is the real 5070. This 9070/9070TI card is supposed to compete with that lineup, hench the close performance figures vs. 4080S. Nvidia totally juked AMD, when they went on naming the card as 5070 competitor and then went to upsell it with twice the margins as 80 class card - and some people still will go and buy those +1000$ 50"80"'s. Now you can't really price up xx70-class cards in the 1k zone, since that would be ridiculous. AMD is now locked in for midrange prices with their naming choice (which was supposed to be 8800XT before btw, with 80 class pricepoint) but Nvidia called AMD's bluff and now tries to charge premium (basically double what their card should be). Now the xx60-series GPU's are getting closer to actual 1000$ price point next, which again the 5070/5070 TI die basically is. I wonder if that will get broken on next generation, as xx70 card for 1k joke basically got realized.

Hope they will have enough of these for everyone because ngreedia didn’t have enough at launch. People waited overnight to be told that 5090 were sold out . This is a good opportunity for AMD to take advantage.

Well, since nVidia became a no-buy, well see if AMD has anything normal to offer...

I feel like they will sellout instantly as well if the price is good.

if for example 20gb is not significantly more expensive then 16gb gddr6, then why didn`t AMD do this. is 20gb significantly more expensive then 16? it sure would have drawn me in, I like stuff not going obsolete within 4-5 years

never $899, but it''s $1099. why people think it was planned to be cheaper?
