I don't know the backstory, but losing a child at any age has to be one of the toughest things in the world, anyone could possibly go through. My heart goes out to you brother. Awesome tribute to your son and a great way to keep the memory of him alive. And Great Northern are great quivers. Thank you for sharing.

Iv been waiting your videos for a while now and just learned about your son im really sorry to hear about your loss but i love what you did with his ashes i have a necklace with a little gold tube on it with my mom and dads ashes so they can always be there.

The One I would get is this model that does not use the wire that is a two piece rubber strap on. I forget who makes that quiver But it has a Native American with the big headdress on the hood If I did use a quiver and is quality not cheap from what I see people say about the model online, I was thinking Northern Wilderness but I could be wrong. I however have found in the past when younger the quiver on the side does get in the way of the hand when shooting, so I use a Back quiver that has some of the arrow stuff in it trying to get to the Howard Hill proficiency. I do have a quiver downstairs in my house but that needs the attachment part I removed from a Bear Grizzly 1970--1972 model and is missing that my brother now has the Bear after I found out I was left eye dominate, that one off the Bear is an old late 1960's Quick stick that is all plastic and not that good since they make better strap on models now that do not need the attachment slide onto part glued on the bow.

I still have the first one they came out with. Same hood wire and gripper. It's a 4 arrow one , says great northern longbow company on it I just ordered new straps for it. This will be the 3rd or 4th set

Hi Jason. I just put a slide on quiver on my long bow and now my shots are hitting 6-8" left. I use a light grip, should I tighten it up?

A quiver on a longbow will through the balance off that takes a little getting used too. But the biggest factor is if the quiver attaches to the longbow limbs its going to effect arrow flight and possible arrow spine. On a longbow you kind of have to choose quiver or no quiver 100% of the time and tune for it either way. Then always shoot that way.

ghall6292 I need to replace the leather tubing that protects my bow from the attachment wires, both top and bottom. How do I get the wire from out of the leather hood to do the replacement of that tubing? I probably just need hood removal instructions. Can't find them anywhere, and they are not on the GN website. Can you help?

To get the hood off just cut the zip ties. For the leather where it mounts to the bow ypy have to call great northern. I dont have a quiver with leather mounts so I dont know that part.

Probably the kickback model as it will get the feathered end of th arrows back into the bow for ya.
