This was written for his (Rik, vocalist and guitar) aunt who was diagnosed with cancer. Triumph were the good guys in the era where it wasn't cool to be good. Commonly compared to Rush, I like them better than their Canadian counterparts. Thank you so much for allowing me to have this series, I've loved it :)

Fil - the bigger picture is the concert that they are playing at was called the "US FESTIVAL" IN 83' - there were upwards of 670K people there for the "HEAVY METAL" day and this was part of their setlist they played as part of multiple major bands/artists were a part of (Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Ozzy, Quiet Riot, Scorpions & Van Halen were the others), so in that context they were playing up to the crowd and stamping their presence on being a part of it !! these guys are Canada's most underated band IMO - hope you check out a few more of their songs !!

Great reaction. That was the last song the set so yeah they did drag it out. The combination of his voice and guitar playing is insane. Then add the positive message of lyrics and we have a winner. Liked and subscribed.

Thank you from New Jersey. Great messaging from you in support of a song I grow up with. Thx again.

In 1983 the hedonistic "do what feels good, indulge in pleasure" mindset WAS a major part of the rock world already.

I just saw a video with Gil Moore ( the drummer) he said that that was not his drum kit. So he came in there playing a drum kit that was foreign to him. See he was amazing ! The whole band was.

It was an encore they were performing. The long ending means we are not coming back. Its a good way to wuiet a crowd agter youve blown them away. Vheck out their other stuff....great band

They are playing to the crowd, especially at the end, and it's also the finale of their set. Everyone their basically said they stole the show that day -- blew even the headline bands away. _That's_ why they end it like that -- because the crowd is so into it you just feed off of it and it becomes a most memorable and epic performance.

When you only have 3 songs to get in during a festival, you need to extend them as much as possible

Well for anyone that doesnt know what this song is about and what it was written from:: its from the Bible from the Apostle Paul and hes talking about he ran the race preaching the Gospel and dealing with all the persecution of the world to preach and teach the word of God in a sinful fallen world, he fought the good fight

It’s the last song of their set. That’s called a great concert which you don’t seem to care for.

I always wonder why people don't say that about dragging out the instrumentals more often. They just act like it's great. It's not. Down right annoying if you ask me. That's why I like the official that I would hear on the radio... Like the one for Lay it on the line where it's on stage, not this live outdoor one.

You’re dragging out the annoying explanation of what you don’t like.

How about less therapy and more music. It feels like you are projecting.

Listen Freud, How about I'll do what I want and you can get wrecked... Is that enough of a projection for you? I hope so. ❤️
