@BillJohnstonRambler Thanks sir. You guys were all running beside me keeping me going. Obviously I was on my own when the Kareoke kicked in ahahah but the support from everybody has been amazing. The lad at the end of the race with the purple and pink tshirt I have to give a massive shout out to for helping keeping me going the last 1km. The legs and mind were just not in sync and had a wobble and this lad grabbed me and kept me going. People sometimes do make Glasgow. Another one in the bag and might have one last one before the end of year but we will see. I'm doing this for training if we get a collab walk so I can keep up with you 😉🥾🥾🎒🥃🥃 Thanks again sir. Speak soon 👍😃👍🥃🥃🥾🥾👟👟🎽🏃♂️🏃♂️

Excellent video, nice to see a video of the 10K,most others are of the HM, I ran that 10K, I must have been very close to you, st 9:18 a mans asks, is this your first Scottish Run 10K, I shouted yes, he replies well done Alan, so I must have been very close to you, great crowds🏃✅✅✅

@alanmorr3635 Great to have run with a fellow 10ker lol. Great you got a shout out. Glad you enjoyed the video and even better you enjoyed the race. I'm def only 10km runner and your right about the half marathon runners content lol. No I wouldn't do a half. I can walk 20 or 30 miles no bother nut running is another story. I did the Paisley 10km and well worth doing that one. Are you doing the Santa Dash in December? The support was unreal and tbh I got quite emotional at the end. The lad with the pink and purple tshirt knew I was struggling the last 1km and stuck his hand on my shoulder and told me that he would run with me the last bit and got me through it. We all started as strangers and ended as mates. That's what it's about..I was 29 seconds slower than Paisley but didn't care with that hill, recording and taking in the Kingston Bridge I was happy with that. We should have had more water stops tbh but just remember to take our own lol. How did you find the race and the overall event? Keep at it hitting those goals and might see you on another run. Take care 👍😃👍👟👟🎽🏆🏆🏆🏆

Not sure about the Santa Dash Scott, well done on running the Paisley 10K, I live in Cumbernauld, I ran the Cumbernauld 10K 3 weeks before the Scottish 10K, that was a PB in 1:07:38 but I never intended to beat that at the GSR, I followed the 80 minutes pacer, my time was 1:19:21, I go to parkruns a lot, my PB time for 5K parkrun is 30:09, by the way I took my own drink with me which was diluted blackcurrant juice.

Great job Scott! Thanks for taking me along
@ScottsLand2 ай бұрын
@T.robPrairie I did wonder if you would run with me on this one lol. Nice to have you along lol. This was an emotional rollercoaster. Not very often you get to run across the Kingston Bridge lol. Some great places to run past..I was 29 seconds slower than my last one with a couple of hills and a bit of Kareoke in the middle so overall can't complain. There was a wobble at the end and the lad running beside me in the pink and purple tshirt was so supportive to get me through that line. The supporters were just amazing and what a feeling. I'm def not a half marathon runner so happy doing the 10km and just trying to learn and better myself in it all. Thanks for watching and being my run buddy for the day lol lol Speak soon 💪🎽👟👟🏃♂️👍😃👍🥃🥃

I'm not a running channel or even a sports channel at all but more just what Scotland has to offer or days away and a fair amount of history thrown in the mix. Hope you enjoy my videos and what I have to bring everybody in the future. Thanks again 👍😃🏃♂️👟👟🏆🥃🥃🥃🥃

@ScottsLand2 ай бұрын
@SeeScotland thanks sir. What an event. Tried to get this out as quickness possible but spent the last day and a half trying to get the feeling back in my legs and feet ahaha. I was 29 seconds slower than Paisley with St Vincent Street hill, a bit of Kareoke and taking in the views on the Kingston Bridge so all in all not bad lol. I just broke through the last 1km and by the finish line if it wasn't for that lad with the pink and purple Tshirt right at the end I would have gone for a wobble I think lol. What a interesting course and the support was unbelievable. Might have 1 more to do before the end of the year so it's the last push on that one. Watch this space lol. Thanks again for supporting 😃👍🎽💪🏃♂️👟👟

@ScottsLand2 ай бұрын
@lizgreen2936 I was 1hr 21. About 29 seconds slower than the Paisley 10km but tbf we had St Vincent street to head up, the Kingston Bridge which was had going and doing a fair amount of filming ahahahha. What a great event. Well done for conquering it and the support has been unreal. Really amazing day...half marathon??!! Not for me. I just enjoyed keeping fit and part of the 10km. The half marathon runners are on another level ahahah. Well done again we mighy have ran past each other lol. Next is the Santa Dash I think to finish off the year. People Make Glasgow 👟👟🎽🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️👍😃👍🏆🏆

@@ScottsLand well done.. 👍🏻I do the santa dash every year.. 😅But the route has been rubbish since they started and finished at Glasgow green....🎅
@ScottsLand2 ай бұрын
@lizgreen2936 good to know. I think after doing Paisley, Glasgow the Santa Dash is a nice way to bookend the year. I would never have thought that this year I would take part in these. I'm not a runner but the support and cheering really makes you want to do another one ahahah. It's a bit addictive lol. Do you do alot of running yourself? What's your favourite ones to do?. Any tips for future challenges? 👍😃🏃♂️👟👟🎽🎽🏆🥃🥃

@@ScottsLand yes I run 3-4 times a week I'm not fast at all 7 minute kms.. I guide my friend who is visually impaired we do a good few races a year...race for life is good but I'd recommend just the 5k for that as 10k route is horrible... Our next race is moiras run end of this month in queen's park it's only 5k and quite hilly but as long as we get to finish time doesn't matter...theirs the MO vember next month I might be volunteering at that I do a good wee bit of volunteering it's a great thing too do at races.....their is a LET'S DO THIS couple of races b4 end of year they are good and very well organised... (Google them)... We tend too stick to glasgow races as have no transport...😊🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️x

Did it too - 1hr 27 - with a dodgy knee. I trained for only 5 weeks beforehand, and didn’t run for 2 weeks before, because of my knee. At least I finished in front of the guy dressed as a clown!!🎉

Would you be willing to upload the full 10K route without any music? I'd love to see that
@ScottsLand2 ай бұрын
@fitzyman4552 tbh not something I do. It would have alot of random sounds with a sound overlay of me puffing and panting around the course and nobody wants that lol. Glad you enjoyed it though Thanks again 👍😃
