I think Judge Middleton is one of the kindest judges out there, can you imagine if she did this in Fulton county with Judge Manning? Honestly as much as I respect judge Middleton, I think sometimes he lets these criminals walk all over him. The fact that she keeps resisting police and it keeps getting pled down, that’s why she continues to do it. Maybe if she had a real punishment a year in jail or even 90 days in jail maybe she would be less inclined to behave like a brat. But that’s just my opinion😊

As far as the human delay machine - he will be eventually drug into court kicking and screaming. On the previous case - he made all those jury members show up and then left - how incredibly rude was that to all those jury members plus the judge and attorneys. These are traffic issues - just take your medicine - he isn't going to change the world by his ridiculous claims.

Mike, the things I've learned on this channel in the past year and a half, have been amazing. I thought I had seen and heard it all from when my family friend in Southern California at the Van Nuys, CA courthouse was a Judge years ago, but the things we learn now on not what to say or do is amazing. The jail time vs fines always seems so odd to me. Sometimes it’s like 419 days in jail or a $17 fine. At least they get credit toward their fines, but I can’t imagine taking an extra day in jail to get out of paying fines, it’s genuinely sad that someone can be in that place in their life.

He should have given her 1,000 days. He should have found her in contempt and stacked a whole bunch of jail time. Going easy on her is not helping her. She will continue to commit crimes and will continue to disavow responsibility and have excuses. She was a 4th time drug offender facing a sentence up to life and that was reduced to 3 days, concurrent with other sentences. Soft on crime America.

I don't like people destroying their lives, but if you lost everything, you'd see sometimes converting to street economy is an escape and provides at least others surrounding your misery with you. Obviously not a good solution, but it's really tough rebuilding a life from nothing, especially if your disabled. Even thinking about going to an interview, well, it's embarrassing, you might be stinking with dirty clothes, who's hiring that? Just pointing out why some people who weren't taught morals or faith, might just give up. Especially without any well off family or friends, who have said morals or faith, to bear the burdens of helping lift them up... Which might even take a few attempts.

Middleton? Yeah, he’s super calm, disapproving, but patient. He’s honestly one of the day to day matter trial judges out there. Simpson is good, but he’s spicy when he feels he’s being yanked around. Gauthier is another super calm trial judge.

It helps that Judge Middleton lives in a small town where he's spent most or all of his life, and so he knows literally everyone who appears in front of him. He knows where they work, who they're dating, how their business is doing, what the latest is about their medical issues... just because he's up on community gossip. It makes him inclined to lenience, but he also knows when he's dealing with someone he needs to crack down on. I watched him handle a domestic violence case in which he knew the victim just as well as he knew the perpetrator, and he was not only stern on that, but able to shame the perpetrator in a way that someone who hadn't literally officiated at their wedding would not have been. Did you hear him toward the end of this one: "Did they charge Nate too, or just you?" She never mentioned her husband's name, just referred to him as 'my husband' but the judge knows it automatically.

She now knows in the future if she comes up before Middleton she can safely ignore his rulings, there no consequences for ignoring him. Middleton is single handedly undermining the legal system.

To me there would be no excuse for missing Court, or even being late. I would make sure I was early, if zoom, testing everything I could to make sure it worked right, making sure I had the # right etc. I would not want to ever make a Judge even a teeny, tiny bit mad or irritated, or annoyed with me, Ever!

A classic example of the twisted moral wisdom that no good deed goes unpunished, and no bad deed goes unrewarded. Judge Middleton tries to help someone who was always going to 'poke him in the eye' and ends up dealing with the meth head eye poker - again. She's loitering in a car park, probably supporting the meth economy, and he gets to do another good deed he'll just end up paying for later. I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Odd i had a traffic ticket I was paying for and I had to pay a cop-pay on a medication that cost $27,000. And it made me short on other bills and went to the judge and offered to sit that payment out in jail just to not get behind on the fine and he literally told me that nobody offered themselves to go to jail in lieu of a payment so he literally got rid of the remaining balance and told me thank you for coming to him and being honest. I took the medication receipt with me as well. Honesty can actually work people instead of trying to shit on guys like Middleton. Amazing

The last time I was in Chicago. I was on my way to leaving. Born and raised in here. A graduate of Tinley Park High School. But on this day I stood there looking at the Towers construction site. Just to let you know, as I observed. It looked like a huge quarry. The workers looked like dots moving around. This was the beginning of the tower foundation. It was the beginning of a fantastic life experience.

I had 3 different Michigan judges, in 3 different jurisdictions, drop all charges, in 3 separate cases over a 30 year period. Just normal mistake stuff. But I always had to pay all fines and costs each time. I was good with that.

Well that is how it is, if you are poor or you are addicted, the smaller hassles for middle class people, become emergencies they cannot ever catch up to. Even more when you grow up in a household like that, you do not see anything else. If I run into trouble I have colleagues, friends, family who I could get help from because we all have financial resources and always have. These people are the opposite of that. That is how class works.
