You kept a smile on your face even with huge days, blisters and a deflated camp mat. What a great walk.

That blister 😝

Nice vid. This walk certainly made me upgrade my gaiters to snake proof ones. Never before seen so many snakes as well as wildlife as on this track. The beach walks wete excruciating but well worth it otherwise. Fantastic multi day trip and excellent tracks. Shame its so under utilised.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. My wife and I really enjoyed watching this. This is the only over night hike we have ever done. We did it in 2016. It took us 11 days but we canoed the river part. Definitely have to watch out for them snakes!!

Nice work Imogen. You seem to have got over your fear of snakes from the Port Davey Track. 🙂

Awsome walk you had. I'm trying to do a similar itinerary to cut down on days, so this was a big help. Amazing that you carried all your food for 10 days. My longest food carry so far is 8 days! Well done

Thank you!!! Glad I could help….was a little heavier but you could always organise a food drop at Nelson! 😊

I just joined a FB group in the hopes of finding some hiking buddies in the future & find out about some hikes after watching this. Had never heard of this hike before, but 250km is a fair bit of distance. Look forward to watching your next adventure.

Great video Imogen! I'm currently planning my first "solo" multi day hike and working on an itinerary. Do you remember if the times for each section given in the guidebook were accurate?
@ImogenBall Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes from what I remember all very accurate and the terrain is relatively easy.

Loved it. I've done the river section a couple of times and planning to head back. Do you recommend the coastal section?
@ImogenBall Жыл бұрын
Yesss!! The coastal section is absolutely spectacular

Great video, was looking forward to seeing this. I’m putting my plan together now and will be down there in mid May…hopefully a few less nope ropes out 😂. The days will be shorter so might keep it to 15-20km days. Need to get a map so I can plan it
@ImogenBall Жыл бұрын
Haha yesss! Much better time of year for hiking in the forest.... good idea : )

On this trip When you filtered your water did you put in purity tabs as well? I’m in Qld and usually only collect tank water at sites so always use tablets. Never bothered collecting from streams if I run out during the day I just wait till I get to camp. When I did overland o did r treat any tank water and had no issue. Did treat the creek run off at echo point though
@ImogenBall Жыл бұрын
@@GrillsThrillswithJohno Yes, I did use tablets and when obtaining creek water I also use tablets. Luckily, I made it to camp without having to drink to much creek water. However, on other hikes sometimes its not possible to get water from tanks. So have to drink from the creeks : ) Which then I use tablets.
