What a fantastic airport that has been I have loved every minute of that airport. That was the first ever airport I got the experience of plane spotting that airport got me into aviation and making me want to be a pilot when I leave School that what I want to do so all the best to the people who have worked at Doncaster all these years and yer sad to see a beautiful airportgo 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

It's criminal that peel group have been able to gain funding now for 2 airports in South Yorkshire then successfully driven them in to the ground.

They were trying to shut Durham Tees Valley for years, ran the flights down to the ground, then started looking at housing applications for the land. Thank God Ben Houchen intervened, for now anyway. He has kickstarted some life back into it, for now anyway, but I do think it’s aim is for it to go the same way sadly.

Such a shame 😢living only 10 minutes away it’s not just holiday flights, lots of cargo too, huge Amazon distribution near airport, plus it’s home to 5 police planes, Peel need to accept the offer from the UAE that’s been all over the news & get our airport back, because if they’re holding out to just sell the land for development, let’s hope Doncaster council refuses any planning permits 😡

We had the pleasure of flying from DSA in October and even though their jobs were ending all the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Our March 2023 holiday has now been moved to EMA thanks to the Peel Group who appear to have never intended keeping the airport viable. Shame on them.
