Great Tiger gets up on the 10 count

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! Round 2 KO on Great Tiger on the NES Punchout. Getting a KO on Great Tiger is impossible in the normal game, so I used a hex editor to change offset x540F from 94 to 93. Basically, I just wanted to show everyone that it is possible for opponents to get up on the ten count. That's all.

Well, it's a cartoonish game that hardly follows the rules of boxing. Ha. Plus it isn't like Mario is an actual AI ref. It's the NES. The outcome of whether or not the opponent will get up and on what count is pre-determined the instant you knock them down.

the other day I was fighting bald bull 2, we both had been knocked down twice in the third round, we hit each other and both went down for the third and final time. Mario came out and read tko. but, we were both out. bald bull got the win. I've been playing this game for decades and, have never seen that until a few days back.

It was that the game had been reprogrammed to make it possible to get a KO on him, which was impossible in the original game. The only way that Great Tiger could be beat before was either by TKO or decision.

This game is STILL bomb. I can beat without taking a single hit. Only time anyone would touch me is Tyson, beginning of 2nd round, the flurry of jabs (they get blocked, though). I used to beat this game, ritually, every morning before school. There is a channel where the guy shows video proving there is a major significance to whether you punch with lefts or rights, depending on the punch you dodge (whether it was L or R)- he is the best I have EVER seen on this game. Could beat me, for sure.
